The human collective unconscious has been infiltrated by a malevolent alien consciousness. What will you do?
Drifter · 2021-05-10 10:36
Perkele, it is time for holiday.
Eldon Tyrell · 2021-05-10 10:45
>>4518 Not before the soykaf has been cleaned, no?
Otto Normalverbraucher · 2021-05-10 11:35
That is absolutely not news to me, i just stay low and chose which battles to fight and hope it eventually turns in my favor.
Nemissa · 2021-05-10 11:41
>>4521 It seems they are steadily ramping up. Stay strong, brother.
Nobody special · 2021-05-10 11:59
>>4518 No it isn't, jumalauta! >>4517 Recruit a team of adventures with attitude! Wait... hang on a second. Wouldn't the human collective unconsciousness turn into a collective consciousness, if there's an alien consciousness perceiving it? Or would it turn into the alien collective consciousness? Umm... unconsciousness? How does this work exactly? I sure hope the astropsychological field of science will soon expand its psychodynamical school so that we can solve this astropsychological psychodynamical predicament that we're now facing!
Netrunner · 2021-05-10 12:04
>>4524 Anything non-perceivable to you at the moment could be considered a part of your unconscious. For example, your friend in another place right now could be considered a part of your unconscious, even as they exist as a separate sentient being on their own. These two views are not mutually exclusive.
Delilah · 2021-05-10 12:10
>>4524 >astropsychological Fuuuck! I made a mistake! That's the field for studying psychologics of horoscopes! The field that studies the psychology of E.T.s doesn't even exists yet. Now it is going to takes like thrice as long for us to come to any conclusion regarding our problem! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
Guthrie · 2021-05-10 12:38
>>4525 I was thinking about it more in terms of totalities, like "grasping the whole of human collective unconsciousness at once", which I assume would have some kind of effect or repercussions on the level of human collective consciousness. But what you were saying is that a person can witness someone else's unconscious contents without making the other person conscious of the unconscious contents, right?
Crazy Jake · 2021-05-10 12:50
>>4527 >But what you were saying is that a person can witness someone else's unconscious contents without making the other person conscious of the unconscious contents, right? Pretty much, assuming the dharmic model of the cosmos where the universe is akin to a shared dreamscape with various overlayed realities. The boundary between personal and collective unconscious, in this view, does not really exist, and even looking at someone's back in the physical realm would count as looking at their unconscious. This hostile alien presence is looking at the back of humans, but from a mental realm with less fixed forms.
Zhora · 2021-05-10 13:04
>>4528 >The boundary between personal and collective unconscious, in this view, does not really exist, and even looking at someone's back in the physical realm would count as looking at their unconscious. That was the other thing that struck me as odd in your post, as the thought of taking it that far would've never even occurred to me nor do I recall Jung ever talking about it in that way. For a second I thought this was some sort of strange Jungian reading on Nick Land's notion of extended mind or something.
John Titor · 2021-05-10 13:12
>>4529 >Jungian reading on Nick Land's notion of extended mind On closer reflection, that seems like a pretty interesting idea. Gotta write that down...
Haruyoshi · 2021-05-10 13:14
>>4529 No problem. I talk from a Tibetan Buddhist perspective, where the doctrine of non-self (anatta) influences my worldview. What you call a being or an individual, is rather like a wave in an ocean, where the discrete movements of the water gives rise to the concept which we call a 'wave'. The sea would be akin to the collective unconscious here. Is the wave distinct from the sea? No. Then, is the wave same as the sea? Also no. They are neither the same, nor are they different.

You can always just cleanse yourself with a trip to the void
Rick Deckard · 2021-07-10 22:22
Just because it is lexically similar as they both contain "conscious", they are actually very different ideas, and the "conscious" and "unconscious" are completely unrelated to each other on the basis of the mechanisms that they use. Lame. Doesn't jog the imagination. Sounds like the plot of a Sci-Fi movie targeted towards the lowest common denominator (90~ IQ).
Crazy Jake · 2021-12-08 02:58
>>4526 I thought you were referring to a hypothetical study of consciousness emerging from cosmic structures. That would be fuarrrking cool
hashkeeper · 2022-03-28 20:12
>>4517 its a sim used to develop consciousness, like ripping muscle to get jacked
Eldon Tyrell · 2022-03-28 20:37
>>4517 >What will you do? Meth
Masami Eiri · 2022-03-29 00:45
>>4517 Absolutely what is happening, at least taking the definition of 'alien' to be strange, foreign, and esoteric. Breaking the veil... colonization of consciousness, power hungry fuarrrks working together on both sides like they are bred from the same coin from what I can gather. People are sick; secular thought and dilution of spiritual knowledge have left them defenseless. What do? There are tools out there, but that's not my specialty... at least they've never helped me in any noticeable regard. Building one's mental fortitude and personal positivity are what I find to be the best things to do. Don't get too invested in anything outside your small community, stay humble, be aware of yourself, and don't betray your intuition of good.
The Plague · 2022-03-29 00:48
be the malevolent alien consciousness
Nobody special · 2022-03-29 01:18
Think about degenerate Sonic porn 24/7. Generate nothing but noise until it becomes a memetic virus that infects the alien conciousness itself and they self-destruct. Kind of what trannies do on the Internet.
Ivan Horvat · 2022-03-29 01:34
>>4531 >What you call a being or an individual, is rather like a wave in an ocean, where the discrete movements of the water gives rise to the concept which we call a 'wave'. Sounds all deep and philosophical until you realize that its basically equivalent to "objects are configurations of matter" >The sea would be akin to the collective unconscious here. So the collective unconscious is a bunch of meat and bones? Cool!
Trinity · 2022-03-29 03:10
>>5304 The configuration also is to some degree adaptive and can be transferred via education and learning. That is where I see a huge decline. The ability to learn is heavily decreased by tjhe decrease of time an individual can pay attention.
Leto Atreides I · 2022-03-30 01:12
>>5304 >collective unconscious is a bunch of meat and bones you say this in a derogatory manner but what happens to peoples's muscles and skeletons when you lock them inside for 2 years? you may be onto something keep talking
Koichiro · 2022-03-31 12:27
It seams you don't understand Jung completely, OP. Collective unconscious is everything that is not individual and conscious. Everything. Alien consciousness, aliens in general, both malevolent and benevolent, are by definition already part of it.
