Consistent Dream Locations

Do any of you have consistent dream locations? The areas in my dreams are often (and this is common im sure) representations of real places I know however they are always distinct and the ways they are distinct are always consistent. For example my city has a central park type deal, and in my dreams at the center of the park is always this marble plaza with steps and a terraced like structure. My old apartment is always built in the side of a cliff and nearly 20 stories up when it was actually just on the 2nd floor. The neighboring cities are connected by complex transportation and there is a trainstop that isnt any ive been to in the same location and if im there the dream is always related to me picking up drugs. The placement of a certain street I used to spend a lot of time on is way closer than it should be, and always if I walk towards the coast from this street il come across this tropical looking stall market area selling a variety of exotic and great food. Its on a dock/pier that you climb down to as there is a cement foundation lifting the whole city some feet above the water. If my dream has some sort of teleportation or space element there is a lab sort of orbiting earth. Its cylindrical and its generally an odd but exciting place if my dream ends up taking me there. One of my friends from high school I still talk to over the internet is always working there and often im coming there because I need his help and have to convince him/get him excited about the scientific prospects of what I need help with. Theres a "dark version" of my city thats kind of reminiscent of the city in half life 2. Certain streets are barricaded and fires are everywhere. My college normally has its own odd layout in my dreams featuring a very fancy dessert bakery under the cafeteria, but if I dream about this dark version of my city itl be just a dorm building I lived in once, thats almost split in half with scaffolding and rebar. The dreams arent always nightmares here but there is always danger. Often times I will randomly find a well in my dreams with a ladder going down to multiple levels. There will be sometimes some reason forcing me to go down, but other times il notice it and just go not today. If I go down the dream will turn more nightmarish the deeper I go, the bottom level holding some of my worst nightmares involving apocalyptic type scenarios. One involving insects eating everything and bursting from corpses and objects and us hiding in a room knowing they will come eventually. Another where the sky developed this swirling black cloud massive, in space, with streaks of purple plasma type soykaf erupting from it in a weird matrix text like pattern, and it was assumed we would all be dying soon. So yeah just curious, do you have consistent dream environments ever and what are they? Are they attatched to a specific feeling or theme that will underlie the story of the dream?

I have something similar going on but instead it's world not single locations. I can go in more detail if you care

I often dream of a small city i live in. each dream usually introduces a slighly altered location, like remodeled train station, new district, changed street layout etc. interesting thing is, these changes carry over next time i dream of my city, so it just keeps straying from reality

>>4469 I've been thinking of getting into 3D graphics and remodeling the environment and buildings/houses in my dreams. >>4466 What's weirder is there sometimes are alternative versions of places you know irl and they would appear consistently like that in dreams with continuation.

I've a pretty large and seemingly fairly consistent (though absurd and impossible) space in which many of my dreams (perhaps even most) end up taking place. So you can walk through the city I went to uni in, and, in principal from there go to a particular Hotel (quite a large hotel, half of it basically abandoned, doesn't exist in reality as far as I know), and go up to one of the middle floors to a suite I had, and find your way over to the house I now live in. By other routes you can get around to many other popular dream settings, my childhood schools, et cetera et cetera. There doesn't seem to be partiicularly a centre, its just a giant meandering network. Different cities, different forrests, different buildings and roads and places, and sometimes I accidentally wander from one to the next and screw up story continuity.

all my dreams take place in the same world as each other. it is a parallel reality that has all the same places as wakespace and the ways to get between the places within the dream world are the same as the ways to get between the corresponding places in the wakespace. like some kinda morphism exists between wakespace and the dream world. specifics are looser in the dream world. things shift around, but always preserve the essential features of the space. sometimes, a dream, taking place in the dream world, is very clearly taking place in the future. but it is not a prediction, it is not a speculation. it is, somehow, a memory of the future. i can't really explain it very well.. sometimes, there are locations in the dream world that do not really correspond to any place in wakespace, but they are still clearly connected to the rest of the dream world. oh, sometimes i have dreams in places that are not clearly connected to the rest of the dream world. one time i dreamt i was some kinda aristo prince of a country that does not exist anymore, that i have ancestral ties to. one time i dreamt of a theater that existed in a void, with a fat lady dancing and singing a poem that i, after waking, wrote down; fun fact, there was a word in that poem in a foreign language i didn't know, and it fit the rest of the poem perfectly when i looked it up. dreams are funny things. they seem to know more than i do. the human psyche in general, to be honest. i used to be more into exploring the human psyche and it's powers, i should get back into that. it was fun and rewarding i'm rambling..

happens to me quite a bit. usually the locations somewhat correspond to real world locations but i csn think of a few dream locations that i've been to multiple times that are afaik completely novel
