I was hoping to see how you would go about formatting your personal dream journals other then:
Dream, Date/Time
What your dream was about.
I was thinking of adding additional categories like:
Dreamsigns that were in your dream?
Lucid? Y/N
Dream mood? Nightmare/Neutral/Euphoric

Emotional states would be a critical one, as they illustrate the tenor of the story being run through. Running from something, trying to wrap up a work task, waiting for something to start, those sorts of things.
Landscapes where the dream event took place that may be of historical significance (like Grandma's attic, or somesuch thing) would also be worth tracking.
Outside of that, you only really need to mention symbols if you recognize them as recurring symbols. I've been dreaming about bears a lot lately, haven't figured out why yet.
