How to get deep sleep?
Cutter · 2021-04-11 14:08
I can get sleep fast. But can't take deep.
I can be waken up easy with small stimulation like opening the door or someone' sneezing or lamp on/off.
If took sleep without any interruption, I can meet morning refreshed.
But once i get waken up, I felt such tired and dizzy.
This cannot be fixed even though I'm really exhausted.
However I think I'm not lack of sleep. Just bad at get deep.
Any good ideas? Should do i visit hospital?

Going to sleep tired helps. I find that if I do a workout of some sort an hour or two before bed, I sleep much deeper.

Try smoking/vaping weed of some sort before sleep/when waking up.
CBD even as an extract might do it.
There are also other herbs like valerian root which you can drink as a tea before sleepong and other possible things like scented candles.
If any of that dont help you might wanna get it checked.

Magnesium, physical activity and if you want to cheat a bit try eugenol, be careful though it could give you allergic reaction.

i get the same thing but i wake up about 1-4 hours after going to bed and cant go back to sleep
zolpidem was an amazing medication for sleep same with temazepam and secobarbital. Any "Sleeping pill" thats not a GABAergic is terrible and will make you feel dead inside (literally anything other than gabas. ive tried mirtazapine, seroquel, trazodone, etc. mutliple times each time they did nothing but make me feel to sedated to move and make me unable to do anything).

banging your head against the wall will induce deep sleep

The way you put it feels like you are very sound sensitive, consider to use ear plugs or if need be a sleep mask. Melatonin tablets also, it's a sleep regulation hormone made to help jet lag, have two for a deeper slumber.

Weed reduces rem sleep and it seems OP is actually in need of rem sleep. Benadryl (dph) induces rem sleep, 25mg then 25 more 30 min later will nock you out for a good 7 hours if you don't take it everyday. It does cause a hard grogginess though, but afterwards you are very alert. you probably dont need any pharmo to get good sleep, exercise a few hours like another lainon has said, also ear plugs/eye mask, complete darkness, no electronics or digital displays for at least 2 hours before bed. Also, reading can be a great way to get to sleep and enter rem sleep.

People recommend physical exhaustion but it never works for me, if I can't sleep it's because my brain is overly active no matter how tired I am physically.

l thiamine x magnesium glycinate would help a ton

It is noted that falling asleep occurs easily (without difficulty or delay), as if plunging into calm waters, yet the immersion itself (the sleep) doesn’t reach the necessary depth. This manifests as extreme sensitivity to external signals: the slightest creak of a door, a sudden sneeze, or even a change in lighting (like a lamp turning on or off) can instantly pull one out of the state of rest.
I’m a clear distinction is observed between sleep that remains continuous and sleep that is interrupted. If sleep proceeds without interference (undisturbed), the morning brings a feeling of complete refreshment and vigor. However, any awakening, even when caused by a minor irritant (a small sound or light), leads to immediate feelings of tiredness and dizziness. This state doesn’t improve even if the body feels profoundly exhausted (physically drained), indicating that the problem lies not in the duration of time spent sleeping, but in its quality (the effectiveness of the sleep) — in the inability to reach or maintain those stages of sleep that provide true restoration.
The essence of the question (the core issue) is focused on the very quality of sleep. Exhaustion, as experience shows, isn’t an automatic key to deep, restorative rest. The phenomenon is that the body’s system, when pulled from a superficial state (light sleep), experiences noticeable difficulty in returning to equilibrium (a balanced, rested state). This emphasizes how crucial it is that the sleep process occurs without disruption, allowing the body to complete a full cycle of renewal.
Given the persistence and recurrence of these phenomena, the question arises about the value of an outside perspective (professional opinion). Consulting a specialist (a doctor or sleep expert) can provide a clearer understanding of the invisible mechanisms that govern sleep. A professional assessment is capable, like a detective (a thorough investigation), of revealing hidden causes or non-obvious factors that prevent the achievement of deep sleep, and thereby propose specific steps for its improvement. This represents a logical and practical path towards a complete understanding of one’s own sleep architecture (how one’s sleep is structured) and its interaction with the surrounding world.

I hope my reflections can somehow help you adapt to this world. It’s like a melancholic mood (or something age-related?), when you worry about the surrounding world or thoughts give you no peace.
I still recommend that you visit a doctor.

Magnesium glycinate does wonders for me.
I sleep much deeper when I take it ~30-60m before bed.

Idk, there could be a lot of things. If you are stressed, obviously your quality of sleep goes down. Are you overweight?
Do you use electronics within 90 minutes of going to bed?
