It's been weeks since I had lucid dreams and years since I've screamed out loud after a nightmare but last night it was finally time.
>Stuck in a hotel-like room
>Waking up bald
>Remembering that I had hair that reached my shoulders
>Serviceman walks in to tell me that he shaved it off because it was getting too long
After that I started touching my head in the real world and since it felt very short I started screaming pretty loud, luckily enough nobody was able to hear me.
Why and when was the last time you screamed while sleeping lainon?

god that’s a hell of a nightmare. i’d‘ve screamed too haha
is your hair long irl, lainon?
i… don’t know if i’ve ever screamed in my sleep, against all odds. i kind of like having nightmares. i’ve woken up crying, though, and i’ve had people wake me up because i’ve been distressed enough in my sleep that they got worried, but that’s it.
dreamt last night that i was babysitting a small child & the oven we had been trying to cook with somehow got cranked up to 1000°F and wouldn’t turn off. i honestly refused to wake up until i found a decent solution that didn’t involve leaving the home or just ignoring the problem and waiting for the house to burn down.
i’ve had nightmares bad enough that i refuse to sleep for days after them, but that’s because those usually resemble reality too much for my liking.

Western culture is so beta.

Pretty sure the top two posters were joking around, but you're right. Western culture is beta, and too much pressure is put on men -- especially young men -- to have perfect hair. Who will teach them that DHT, the cause of male pattern baldness, is a good thing?

Never. I dream pretty often but nothing in there is so jump-scary to elicit a scream. I also don't think I scream IRL, the worst that I seem to get is a sudden loud swear like ho-OOLY shiiiiit and that's it. I generally panic the most when things refuse to stop, die, or be shaken off even after my last resort strategy in stopping them.

I'm not convinced that's the cause, nor is excessive DHT a good thing. You can halt and even reverse hair loss by taking some plain castille soap, add a drop or 3 of rosemary, peppermint, and lavender essential oil. Lather in to the scalp, wash your hair with it. Occasionall soak your scalp in a water extract of polygonum multiflorum, green tea, and coffee.

I haven't woke up screaming, but I've also had dreams where my hair gets forcefully shaved and it was scarier than the times I've had sleep paralysis.

Its not so much the fear of balding, but rather the fear of not looking how you imagine yourself. We all have an image of how we look in our minds and having that altered can be scary, like if you woke up one day with differently colored eyes or differently shaped jaw.
