>any suggestions? sleep on your other shoulder, sleeping on your back promotes apnea

I sleep on my stomach which is pretty bad for your neck since its turned one way for long periods of time. Guess I enjoy the pressure on my chest though. Usually have some background noise, but I don't need it to fall asleep. It just keeps my mind from wondering too much.

Anyone have any suggestions for stretches to do before sleep? Do they help with sleep quality?

Before i go to sleep i do a few pullups and situps lying down. It really makes a difference especially for your back, also some stretching is good too. When im not tired as a dog i try to do some reflection and contemplation on the day and what tomorrow might hold.

>>4294 >When im not tired as a dog i try to do some reflection and contemplation on the day and what tomorrow might hold. I used to do this compulsively every night. It was the only way to stop my anxiety I had to plan out every detail of the next day and try to predict how situations would go so I could come up with an appropriate response beforehand.

I feel so far behind and in that limbo state where I can't quite die, but don't know that I want to continie on, that just I don't bother to sleep. Historically I woke up feeling worse than I went to sleep, so I thus associate sleep with a robbery of sorts. A daily micro-lobotomy. It takes and takes and gives nothing in return, just like everything else.

I lie on my back and try to make myself as apathetic as possible about everything.

I sleep on my side, before sleeping I generally drink some herbal tea and walk around the block once or twice, then stretch a bit. I shower before bed, but I find if I go to bed right after showering, I end up hot and sweaty, so the tea and the walk sort of help cool my body down. When I have trouble sleeping I lay in my bed and think about all sorts of things, or try and meditate. I generally sleep well.

i stay up very late and then when i get home i sleep. it all adds up to about 6 hours a day, 2 hours of nao and 4 hours at night. then on weekends i sleep about 14 hours a day because im depressed and have nothing else to do when im not working or on the internet. its a nice escape.

Apparently I grind my teeth in my sleep and I can't sleep at all with a mouth guard in.

I got terrible insomnia so I dont sleep lmao, but i found that if you eat right before going to sleep it makes it easier also sleeping on your back is more comfortable if you have a pillow under your lower back. to be honest you should just get some ambien from your doc lol

>>4372 best sleep is when youre ready to not wake up lmao

I have a weird ritual for sleep that started as a joke, I've seen on the Internet that if you put a empty chair at the side of your bed a demon would sit there and see you sleep, after I did that I got a really good sleep and now I can only sleep if I put the chair near the bed. Sometimes I do static stretches before going on bed too, they help relax your body and makes sleeping easier and better. When I need to wake up really early like 06:00 am I force myself to sleep early like 09:00 am, for this I use a technique that I developed, I stare to a red picture and while I do this I try to force myself to yawn, it takes a few minutes for me to get asleep, I also do the stretches before that.

>>4429 Yes. I always think something to myself like, "I have seven hours to lie here. Even if I don't sleep, relaxing for seven hours like this is good. It doesn't really matter. Nothing really matters. For the next seven hours, time doesn't exist. Seven hours will go by quickly. Being able to lie here for so long is a privilege." And then I stop thinking and indifferently wait.
Cereal Killer · 2021-04-28 17:27
>>4427 just take your teeth out before you go to bed, duh

wish sleep could be my main occupation to be honest.
