I consider myself a rational guy. I'm not particularly smart or analytical, but I always look at evidence and try to follow the logic where ever it leads. This though has me stumped. I'm sure I have dreamt the future. I think it's happaned at least four times throughout my life - never anything mindblowing, it'll just be something like I dream about being in math class then a couple months later, I'm in math and the teacher says the exact phrase from my dream and I have to think "Oh soykaf, I predicted this."
I know that people can't dream the future, I've never believed in tarot or astrology or any of that bullshit, but I swear to god it's happened to me. I've had to relive an exact scene from one of my dreams, and I can't come up with any way to explain it other than sme kind of future sight. LAIN HELP

It's hard to say what's most likely without more detail on how specific and normal predictions were, and if the predictions had to happen within the next day or the within next year.
Some ideas (of couse I'm no expert):
>if something that happened in your dream has a reasonable chance like 1/1000 per day (like the teacher saying exactly "now you all give it a try") and it happens a once in the few years you attended school, it makes some sense to happen a few times by sheer coincidence.
>if they've said that phrase before the dream, or it's a phrase they're really likely to use (like Pythagoras's theorem), then I think your dream may be more likely to have them reuse that same phrase when imagining them, and also they may be more likely to say that phrase again IRL since it's in their vocabulary
>confirmation bias: it is exciting and almost concerning when an unlikely prediction comes true like that, but how many other events are there present you would call predictions didn't happen? Probably hundreds of things in each dream times thousands of dreams. When one does happens, it feels important and strange, but there are so many things that could qualify that cumulatively one of them was likely to happen eventually, but individually each is so unlikely that it's amazing.
I think my equivalent is watching an old film or reading about it someone on my computer, then soon after or a couple of days later the actor is in the news or that film is scheduled to play on TV.
Individually, the chance seems so unlikely that your pattern-picking brain suspects there must have been psychic cause and effect, but when you take all the movies I watched after which that didn't happen, and after the 182th popular film I watch it happen, you don't realize how many potential opportunities there were for that scary coincidence to happen.

I had the same thing since i was little, i also had some more vivid ones every once in a while, but i was never able to control it to a point where i could make assesments.
Im sure they were more than just some sort of memory feedback loop, but i never found out how to work with it.

if it's deja vu you're referring to then yeah its very common i think. i know i definitely have it quite often
i've been told its to do with disassociation from reality or something like that but ive never looked into it
that being said i do have a few really vivid memories of soykaf like that, it's happened me so many times that i know whats going to be said before its been said, kinda weird and cool.
