I was talking to someone. I cannot remember who it was or what we talked about. That haziness of sleep makes me forget it all by each passing second. But... I remember what happened next. I stopped talking. My mouth, or rather my throat felt non- functional. "Strange." I thought. Tried talking again. My mouth opened but no words came out. Only slime. It flowed out of my mouth like a popped balloon filled with expired milk. "This can't be right. Get back in there!" I thought. That haziness of sleep cares not for reason. I sucked it all back in. Fell on my knees and started eating it off the ground. Than like a flash I woke up. My head was stuck between the bed and the wall. And I was choking on my own spit. I yanked my head out of there and started coughing a storm. Face flushed, lungs collapsed, brain %30 recovered from sleep, I just coughed. That haziness of sleep stuck was still stuck with me. The body was %100 awake, but my mind was still in dreamland. An inverted sleep paralysis. After some minutes of catching my breath, and after some minutes of waking up a second time, I finally came to my senses.
If my belief in the mind-body split was ever in doubt, It no longer is now.
