Astral Projection

Cypher · 2019-12-13 15:22
Have any lainons astral projected consciously before? I once did and almost turned into a frog. Do you think astral projection and astral planes are real or all in your head? I personally think that it is because I've heard of people gathering information in the astral plane they otherwise wouldn't be able to (along with plausible theories on why that sometimes doesn't happen). So what do you think? Any stories, tips or questions are welcome.

This topic has fascinated me for years but i was never able to get any actual information on it. I read a lot about spirituality, paranormal and psychonautics, finding info about psychics and aliens is plentyful, but real pieces of knowledge about the astral plane are vague. I have been very close entering it a few times i think but i never managed to get there by will, i think people sometimes go there without knowing, like in dreams. Long story short, right before chickening out i felt this really strong vibration and saw really strong white light. Tell us more about your experiences with the astral plane.

>>2677 My first experience was similar to yours, I sat down and just relaxed while listening to a binaural beat. Before I knew it I was seeing a bunch of blue-colored geometry and felt vibration all over my body. I got too excited as I was leaving my body and stopped. Right before I stopped I saw a face which I thought was mine (like when you're clipping through a game model and see the empty inside of their head). This experience is what made me a believer of astral projection. The sensations were completely unique to me. One time I did manage to exit my body for a few seconds. I seemed to awake from a dream but was under sleep paralysis and felt vibration all over my body. For whatever reason, I simply had the thought of turning into a frog and immediately felt my body shrinking and transforming. I stopped it halfway and returned back to my original form. I then decided to simply get up without waking up and ended up exiting my body. It was about as easy as getting up in real life, if not even easier because I didn't even feel tired. However, my vision was fuarrrked and I had trouble navigating out my bed and through my room so I simply laid back down and woke up. Looking back, I may have still been close to the frog form lol. That happened this year around the summer time I believe, been trying to astral project again ever since.

>>2680 Thanks for sharing and good luck on your future endevours, keep us posted if you ever find out anything more. I like to add a technique i once read about that i now remembered. It goes something like this, you lay down and completely relax your body, then imagine you climb down a ladder in a dark pipe. Needless to say it takes a lot of practice and luck to get it to work, i sort of quit on that years ago but want to give it another go. In a book about karma and souls i recently found the astral plane is shortly mentioned as emotional world next to a mental world, but nothing is really elaborated on its nature. I also have two other fascinating books that might have some information maybe, i will let you know if i find anything. There might also be some information on it in the works of helena bavlatsky, but her work is extensive and difficult to read. Though frankly i dont know if any information on non physical existence can be put in a context we can describe with our current vocabolary and understanding.

>>2683 There's a lot of astral researchers out there with books of their own specifically for the subject. The most famous author being Robert Monroe who is considered the pioneer of astral research. He's got three books: Journey's out of the body, Far journey's and Ultimate journey. I've never read them but I've heard they are highly recommended. I also recommend reading this page: http://www.astralpulse.com/frankkepple.html It's the findings of a researcher who looks into theory and practical application of astral exploration. It explains his findings in each astral plane, how the astral plane exists in itself and the afterlife. There's also a book called 'the phase' by Michael Raduga. It's contains multiple techniques for leaving the body. One of which I followed to leave my body for the first time and is also highly recommended for beginners. He's also uploaded his three day seminar on YouTube about it. If you want to delve even further into theory concerning astral projection, you can also read Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce.

I always fall asleep whenever I try ...so no.
John Doe · 2019-12-16 07:00
>>2685 Try doing it somewhere where you are less likely to fall asleep like a chair instead of in bed. Just be sure you're able to relax your body.
Chan Siu Ming · 2019-12-16 07:46
>>2686 In a chair if my head flops over it makes me jolted up. I've also attempted the trick of raising a hand while laying in bed keeping it up to not fall asleep. I should mention some people have claimed to have seen me in other locations than I was while fully awake body and mind though i had no awareness of this other me.

All's necessary's to, having understood exactly, intend to, irregarding technique. >Do you think astral projection and astral planes are real or all in your head? I personally think that it is I agree, it is. I've done astral projection before. I've been able to gather information which is impossible to get otherwise. Other times, I've gathered information which I later verified as false. Also, having done some astral projections, I read more about others', and my next were effectively identical.

Although I have never tried nor do I believe astral projection is anything more than a psychological effect, recently I became curious about this subject. Lainons that actually managed to do it, how did you do it? How much time did it take? What did you see and feel? Did you manage to accomplish anything? If so, what? >>2690 could you please elaborate? What kind of information did you get? If it's about private matters, you don't need to talk about it, although i'd like to hear it.

>>2688 all lead to Lucid Dreaming

I don't believe in them any more, but when I was a kid I would spend a lot of time reading about this sort of stuff, and I once through sheer force of will made it to the "edge" which from my understanding is a common experience to astral travellers, where you feel strong otherworldly vibrations, and despite how determined I was to not pussy out (and the fact that I just wasn't scared), I pussied out. I still don't understand why. Although I don't think there is an astral plane outside the mind, this experience has led me to believe that like chi, astral projection is a program set deep in the human psyche and only discovered by the inner searching done by religious folk. I want to be able to research it for myself, but afaik it requires a huge amount of willpower, which I could only have if I still believed I could explore the real world, with real people and move between real planes of existence. I'd be interested to hear from other non-believing lainons who manage to astral project. How do you pull it off? Do you also feel a wash of vibrations before you embark?

>>2716 I "did it" once, i tried it a lot back when i was a kid. My method was kind of cringey but whatever, it semi-worked. >Lie in bed >Soles right in bed >Left hand on right sholder and vice versa >Empty mind (this was the hardest part) >Repeat a mantra in your head >Synchronize mantra with your respiration After an hour or so i started feeling numb and weird so i always freaked out. One night i saw myself sleeping in my bed and a white thing besides me. I stopped doing it, but since then all my dreams are lucid. Now,i don't believe too much on it, it probably plays on ones mind, i don't have the same patience i did before to try that thing again. I apologize for the broken english.

It's the idea that things are either "in your head fake" or "outside there real" is what made people come up with stupid bullshit like astral projection, desperately trying to get something that they have "in your head" control over - preferably unconscious - while it is more significant than dreams. If people just dropped the stupid idea that there is a "real world" that isn't a dream (tree graph hierarchy) and rolled with a regular graph, dumb bullshit like astral projection, tulpas, waifus and imaginary genders would never came to be in the first place.
Crash Override · 2020-01-04 07:21
In my experience, I have only ever projected by accident which always has resulted in some form of deep trauma. The more passable of which is when I'm just pushed back to my body by some entity resulting in a seizure. The worst by far is when the umbilical cord stretches out too far and snaps, then you become fair game for everything out there. Every journey fuarrrks me up quite badly and leaves me well out of it for a week or so until I recover. Alcohol used to be a decent nulling agent up until it seemed to agitate the state it was meant to put down. What it has come to now, is that the "other" leaks into waking life. Constant sparks of light in my field of vision, the warping of enclosed spaces (especially floors as if they are breathing) and the movement of stationary objects. Sorry for the blog Lains.

>>2737 No worries. The part about lucid dreaming is interesting. How do you feel about that? I like lucid dreaming occasionally, however I imagine I would really hate having lucid dreams every time. I don't know, sometimes my randomly generated dreams are very interesting, and a lot of times sentimental. I imagine it wouldn't feel as authentic if always had the power to control my dreams and the knowledge that it is a dream.

I found this interesting video of a artist who for over 40 years has done astral travel and explains some things. https://vimeo.com/35800793 Thought it was worth sharing.

>>2751 Sorry for taking that much time i don't frequent /zzz/ too often. You are right, but i'd say depends on the person, usually my dreams start at a random 'setting' but almost immediately i realize its a dream, most of them are just me doing chores, talking to people, so yeah it gets boring, i end up doing the same things i do when i'm awake. Sometimes i just play along with whatever 'setting' im into, never did fancy things like visiting planets and other stuff one reads on the wired, maybe because i don't really believe on those. Most crazy dream i have had must be the one Jesus killed me firing a shotgun to the head back when i was 10-12 yo. I really like reading about other people's dreams.

Hello, everyone, I think I may have had an astral projection or died in my sleep this morning I went to bed at 4 last night and probably around 5 I lost my grip with reality I was at my desk but my body was in bed and then I walked through my wall towards the living room and there was a random lady in the living room looking out the window I was like that was weird then I had the realization that I could see myself sleeping in my own bed and that a ghost lady was in my room Then the weird part starts and it hurts my head visualizing it but once I had that realization I woke up in my bed but I didn't awake from the dream I could see through my own eyes and through my ghost eyes in my ghosy self I am moving through the walls and real me is staring at black figures hovering over my bed and during this whole time my body feels like it is buzzing all over I keep reaching for my phone because I hear walls of voices Some i recognize others are faint and muffled then the voices get louder and louder the whole time i can't speak so i reach for my phone to shine light on them no matter hiw hard i try my phone will not unlock everything I flip it to find the screen I am looking at the back side By then the other me makes it back to the real me and grabs one of the black figures and then remerges with my body Once this happenes for a while i can't see at all like I just can't open my eyes move my arms or even breathe the sounds are now screams and internally I start fighting all of these sensations the buzzing the wall of sound and the overall lack of control from motor function When I do finally wake up and open my eyes I am greeted with a room lit up by the early morning sun However my vision was not normal my entire room was and vision was filled with geometric fractals so detailed I couldn't understand the real object i was looking at and normally you blink and something like that would go away But it didn't leave for 5 straight minutes any thoughts I have heard of astral projection years ago but never experienced anything like it but I guess what I experienced this morning could be considered that Also lately these voices have been getting louder where I think something is loud enough to wake my roommate and then the noise stops and I realize how dead quiet the room is and I think to myself this was all in my head?

>>2677 >Long story short, right before chickening out i felt this really strong vibration and saw really strong white light. You were so close, you would feel the vibration during entry or exit. The strong white light is followed by total darkness in which case people usually fail like >>2680 people tend to fear the dark, and imagine their worst fear which actually would show up. >>2680 >I seemed to awake from a dream but was under sleep paralysis and felt vibration all over my body. You were unstable, the next vibration feeling after being in the state is the exit or happens when you're not in stable form physically like wanting to move or turn aside. >I simply had the thought of turning into a frog and immediately felt my body shrinking and transforming. Your thoughts overpowered you. This is why people experiencing sleep paralysis happen to have the weirdest nightmares and you're overcome by fear that you even distorted your own self. Just avoid this by focusing on your libido, instead of thinking weird creatures think of something sexual and after you've total control of the lucid state that is when you get to pick between the different astral planes (including going outside your body and checking your local neighborhood while floating, or just going in the astral hub).

>>2688 >4 hours This is dangerously accurate. Hijacking the sleep cycle is probably the easiest one. The morning method is not that advisable due to sunlight distraction unless you'd get scared of oobe in dark, however it is advisable to wake up before sunrise if you do. The morning method is also a great way to tap into real information (like other languages, novel ideas, or even low digit lottery numbers) >>2740 Are you sure it's an actual seizure? That's the usual feeling when you get stuff that aren't normally dreams.
