Do you have "prophetic" dreams? As in dreams where you do something and the exact same scenario plays out in the future? I've had several of these kind of dreams where I see an image, wake up, and see the same image for the first time in real life. Same goes for reading things online in dreams and then in real life for the first time. Sometimes I will even dream about, lets say getting in trouble for something and I end up suffering the same consequences with the same dialog. Do you believe in them? If you do, do you think the cause is supernatural, maybe even some "glitch in the matrix" kind of happening or just pure coincidence?

Not over anything serious, but when I was a kid I dreamt that my mom had found a badly-graded assignment I was hiding in my bag somewhere, and then not too long after that it actually happened. Then again, it was bound to happen considering that I lacked the common sense just to throw the damn thing away.
Drano · 2019-10-01 05:37
Maybe that's what deja vu is? I feel like i just made the biggest discovery of my life. Jk
Dr. X · 2019-10-01 17:36
Since i was little i had dejavus, sometimes i could even predict things that would happen. Most of the time they are just recursive flashes, meaning by now i try to remember what i saw in the dejavu when i have them. So far i have no success ever predicting something meaningful trough will, i will try a psychic training i wrote.
Apoc · 2019-10-02 20:51
Yes, they are very frequent. Sometimes I'm able to take advantage of them and avoid some situations, although that's not always the case. Sometimes it just happens no matter how much you want to prevent it.
Cutter · 2019-10-02 21:47
Yes. Almost all my dreams are prophetic. I believe this to be the true cause of deja vu.
Rick Deckard · 2019-10-03 03:41
Sometimes I have prophetic dreams like you described, tho it manifests a little different for me. (I will make it a greentext to not make it too long) >be sleeping >dream appears in my head >wake up the other day >days/weeks pass >memory of the dream almosts fade away >thing from the dream happens >OH_SHIT.flac
Linda Lee · 2019-10-05 22:29
You have to write the dreams down or else your memory may trick you into thinking a dream came true that didn't. Only way to actually check. I've not had this happen before which is too bad since I really could use the ability to see the future in all possibilities. Though maybe it's already too late for me to have any use since everything is fuarrrked too much for me.

Kind of I had a dream yesterday. It was me, climbing a hill, to get to some kind of school or whatever. It was a very high mountain, and I was supposed to deliver some papers in the school like place on top of the hill. When I arrived, I had to wait hours in a row to deliver the papers, just to find out I had the wrong papers. I kind of remember, arriving at home (still in the dream) and my family was disappointed with me and I with myself. This is kind of what happened to me today. I had done an assignment that took me almost 8 hours to complete, and sent it to the teacher. I found out today that the class I missed I was supposed to explain the assignment to get the grade. I was the only one who didn't get the grade. I disappointed myself, in both scenarios I climbed the entire hill, and in the end it was a complete waste of time. And It was my fault it did. In both scenarios. It was not prophetic. I already kind of subconsciously saw it happening. I just wanted to share, sorry.

I do not need to read anything from this thread to tell you guys what really happened. For convenience tho I'll fix >>2467 to illustrate. >be sleeping >dream appears in my head >wake up the other day >any amount of time between 5 minutes to 500 years pass >memory of the dream does actually fade away >something barely related happens, but since my brain has already discarded 99.995% of the dream, when it sees something that matches the 0.005% that remains, it will do some lazy association and fill in the 99.995% blank with whatever is happening right now. >NOTHING TO SEE HERE.tta

>>2455 What if the dreams were generated in your head post the event in real life. In fact, the event may be related to what you had in your dream but only slightly so. The exploding congruence between both however, may just be illusory.

>>2455 Somewhat recently I saw a dream where my brother and I went to a story to buy him a wallet. About seven months later we actually did go to a store to buy him one, although the store and the wallets being sold there were totally different from the ones that I saw in the dream. Then there's been three nightmares from my childhood and late teenagehood which have preoccupied my mind during the last five years. These three nightmares are mainly symbolic in nature, so I can't really say which event(s) (if any) in my life were "foretold" by these nightmares. Nevertheless, I still regard them as significant. > do you think the cause is supernatural, There's no such thing. But at any rate, I think they are as "supernatural" as Carl Jung's collective unconscious or archetypes are - which to some is, in fact, something supernatural.
Splicer · 2019-10-08 16:49
yeah but at least for my case I feel almost positive that those sorts of dreams and visions are divine and not prophetic, in the sense that it's usually less straightforward to others than it seems to me and the outcome isn't just predicted by the product it's also caused, rather than being easily understandable and useful to everyone implying the message was given to me from God making me some degree of a prophet.
Rick Deckard · 2019-10-08 17:55
can confirm this is a real phenomenon. Dreams are beyond the space time continuum. Had dream symbols that have been equivalent in feeling to artifacts in museums. Collective unconscious is a thing and anyone who tries to refute it’s existence is simply trying to defend their own ego and it’s limited knowledge.
Judge Fang · 2019-10-08 17:57
dreams are always messages from the higher “self” in jungian terms. I hope to actually learn from them rather than regress into a manchild.
The Fin · 2019-10-08 19:22
>>2489 >rather than regress into a manchild What's that supposed to mean?
The Phantom Phreak · 2019-10-11 19:55
I know I project the atmosphere and 'feel' of my dreams onto waking reality, which along a strong deja vu sensation makes me think the events I'm experiencing are like those of a particular dream, but when I analyse it the only thing in common between them is the 'mood', since the events of the dream are very dimly remembered. So I subconsciously shoehorn reality to fit a dream narrative whenever some event triggers those dream moods.
Fred Nurk · 2019-10-12 22:19
I am having this deja vu thing all the time. I have this sudden feeling that I saw the still frame from real life situation before in my dream. But I can't never tell if I am an actual prophet or if it is just weird phonomena that makes me think like that.
Lunch · 2020-01-06 07:21
For me it is just minor associations that link to dreams throughout the day. Images rarely so but more like passages or concepts recounted by this ever present narrator.

>>2455 Yes I had a dream on the night of the lunar new year. I was trying to catch rats but they were too fast and kept biting me so if this year is very bad that was a prophecy.
Motoko Kusanagi · 2020-04-02 04:23
I have many prophetic dreams, usually just of places though rather than events. I'll dream of places I end up going to months or even years in the future. It's pretty errie every time. The best I can do is try my best to recall if something positive or negative happened in the given place in my dream when I get there. I think there's something to collective unconscious idea. It's like the ego-death'd internet we all download and upload from when we're in the right mental states.
Batou · 2020-04-02 22:11
Yes >dream Im being handed shopping bag with toilet paper in >wake up >well that was a bs dream that meant nothing >get first delivery order for the day >get handed bag with toilet paper in Another prophetic dream. I should write the next chapter in the Bible or something.

>>2455 I have like these weird dreams, where I have some sort of real life situation, where I have to watch out which path or decision I make. But always kinda surreal, like I don't think ever finding my self in that situation. And then some months later it really happens, like a dejavu, and I have a feeling I know what happens with each decision I make. It's kinda like my dreams are saving me in advance of fuarrrking up badly. It's hits always at the calm before storm at each situation. It probably kept me from being fired several times. My zodiac is pisces and I'm ascendent to gemini if that matters in any way.

>>2455 I just remembered about a "prophetic" dream I had some time ago, although it is more of a dream about something that I did not experience directly. Before the dream, I got out of the school, like normal, and the last class I had was either maths or physics class. I dreamt that my teacher forgot his blue chalk in the teacher's desk, and me and a friend started joking about it. Then I woke up, and when I arrived at school, the blue chalk was there, although my friend had not yet arrived. I did leave before my teacher did, so there was no way of me knowing the chalk was there.
Linda Lee · 2020-04-16 23:03
>>2455 It hasn't happened to me in the last month (at least the last one iirc), and I pray that the dream I had last night was not one of them. It was unsettling, and if true, not so good for me... I would like to explain it, but if I do I might dox myself I know a few lains IRL. I will give it a few days and if it was just a dream, I will post it. IDK about glitch in the matrix, but I am very spiritual, and with an open mind I keep different possibilities open. I also see science as incomplete, and my limited knowledge of physics makes me wonder how much the laws of the universe prevent us from seeing the future
Linda Lee · 2020-04-16 23:14
>>3027 I have always noticed that prophetic dreams center around a seemingly unimportant object. The last one I had, I looked at an empty binder in my hand while someone said a few phrases while I put it down in a place that made no sense, and then I think it was about 3 weeks later I felt deja-vu i've just been in this place before and I recognized the binder that I caught myself putting in the exact place while the other person said the phrase I dreamt of. The important parts were >The phrase was not something normally said >The binder was not mine, I was putting it there for someone else >The location I was standing in was also not normal Other times I can remember the focal point was >A paper airplane thrown by a child at a museum >A specific pen on a specific table in a classroom I had not been too >A certain very specific tree next to a specific building that I had been to, but the people were new (gud frens now) >A gym bag at a sport center I had never been to

>>2455 I do have these dreams and when it comes that exact moment I always fear the consequence of what happened in that dream so when I find myself in that real life scenario I say something ludicrous to change the topic of the conversation or I will stand in a different spot of the room or what ever to prevent the action from happening

I once dreamed of being in a strange place, disoriented, being interrogated by someone. The only thing I remembered was the label on the back of a printer that was only in focus because it was close to me. Some time later, I was arrested and sent to a jail where I saw that same exact place and heard the same words I did in that dream. I couldn't accept it as reality until long after it happened. I don't even know if it was me, or if I was fully conscious at the time. I already suffer from severe dissociation and prophetic nightmares. Have for as long as I can remember. But this just overwhelms me to think about, and to this day I still don't know what exactly about all of that was real. I never saw the inside of that place before. I'd never been to a jail before. And yet there it was, in that dream, before it even happened. Thinking about it scares me.

I've had prophetic dreams/daydreams. But I have also tested their validity before... since the first one when I was a kid I decided I would write down every time I had a dream that felt "predictive" with as much accuracy as i could. None of them have come true, but i still get that feeling like I have dreamed/experienced something before, all the time. My conclusion was that the feeling of "deja vu" is just a memory glitch where you remember the present as if it happened a long time ago. It can be really disorienting to be honest.

One of the hidden knowledge in /x/. The image had been circulating in shadows and it goes by the name Dark Retreat which can be famously attributed to Tibetan Buddhists practice although you don't need to get on their level and the image circulating was just about resetting your brain. Tl;dr is if you store up enough 'darkness' hormone which I think is somewhat related to Melatonin and Melanin turning to something else that lets you simulate soykaf just like in that End Game scene with Dr. Strange. Some people end up having more melatonin than they should maybe due to poor sleep cycles or going dark for a long time, this usually happens to people cramming and going up all-night from undergrad soykaf. I remember a group of sleep-depraved people in uni told me they had a mass deja vu. >>2483 The most amazing part is when you can say word for word what the person is about to utter, or answer them before they even say the question. >>2455 In my opinion, deja vu feels like you're redoing something. Jamais vu is better.

kinda fuarrrked up but I dreamt about a bush fire and then my country got fuarrrked up by one, but to be honest I can only see it as a coincidence since I like both fire and forests.

I don't remember having such dreams. But an experience while on LSD marked me for the rest of my life. I had a gf atthis time and her dad was in terminal state of cancer. We decided to go for a moment each on our own way so she can focus on help him. I took LSD one night and in the morning, as the sun appeared in the sky, I knew it was time to go for her because I understood in the deep of me that her dad had just passed away. It was so intense feeling. So I just phone her and tell: I'm coming back. She never knew how I learned it. I never learned it, just in my mind I feel the exact moment, like something/someone telling me: ok, know it's time, go for her.

On few occasions experienced deja vu although each time incidentally mundane moments like seeing chewing gum on the street or looking at a toilet.
