I have an experience of dreams on a manic psychotic episode, that i will share with you here. They tend to be very vivd. They tend to be really short, and i wake up every few to few-ten minutes, and it seems like all of the sleep is REM(i'm aware we dream really lot in a little time, but even with a 10x factor, experienced time is about as long or longer than what has really passed on my clock). First type i've experienced is seizure-like. In my dream i fall to the ground and shake incontrollably, bumping into things while hovering on the floor at incontrollable direction and speed but at what is unrealistic for random movement, like tens of meters forward. All the while i'm making uncontrollable noises and feel random non-normal physical feelings and don't understand what is happening with me. The second type i've experienced is the "bullshit horror" . For example, my last one was: I was laying on my bed, but my bed suddenly became a 3x3 whac-a-mole game table, and little, like 40cm tall grim-reapers came out of each hole randomly, i tried to adjust my laying to avoid them and hitting one on the head but then one catched me, hit me with his scythe which electrocuted me. As funny as this sounds, that scary and bad feeling was it, and lots of other dreams was similar in nature: including some cliche horror character but in a bullshitty laughable way. The third type i experienced is the "endlessly repeating inconveniences". Some soykaf that feels not scary or painful, just inconvenient, repeats endlessly, but everchanging and included in a complex environment. Imagine something like this: I try to walk in the city, but wherever i go, there's always some kind of barrier or post or pike or gate, and i go really fast and i always bump into them and can't find my way out to the place i know, because the city is one that has the same basic elements as my city, but in a completely reconfigured, or even dinamically changing way. And my mind don't stop for a microsecond to think, just runs and goes at high speed. There were other types, but more normal and less defined by a simple but uncommon pattern, like "horror characters" trying to kill me or people randomly trying to kill me like animal hordes, or people acting really uncommon ways, or several patterns mixed. The most important part that never changes is the speed of the dream, they was like my mind went crazy and all of it's little parts that shouldn't have speeded up (and doesn't speed up on stimulants for example) are speeded up and this amok-running mind is now creating a world around me (this is what actually happened as far as i know)
