In all seriousness, >>2065 is a good start.
In general, eat 2-3 meals a day, exercise (physically and/or mentally), no computers after 10, read a book and get cozy. Also don't do non-sleep things in bed!

Chew some valerian root and get more exercise

whatever the answer to your question is, you look dumber just by asking it

drink some herbal tea, but not green tea. That stuff still contains caffeine so if you drink enough, it'll just end up keeping you awake. get away from the screen and instead read a book while you wait for your tea to brew.

What I recommend is to just relax. One of the best ways I've found is actually to listen to Minecraft music. Not only is it really nostalgic, but it's also really good, relaxing music. In general, music and/or podcasts are an amazing way to relax in bed.
tl;dr, find some noise to drown out the thoughts

get off the internet, read a few chapters in a good book, and pop a valium or two. it's how this insomniac gets any sleep without skipping every other night.

For me, what really did the job is cardiovascular exercise. I would jog for at least 30 minutes 2 hours before bed.
The difference was incredible. I went from lying awake for hours to falling asleep in minutes.

What do you mean you can't go to sleep? Is something preventing you from sleeping? If so, and you want to behave "normally" and you have problem with that, then just do stimulants. Caffeine is enough, it'll keep you awake.
If you have trouble falling asleep then masturbate (or have sex) to orgasm, then go to sleep. Lying for too long trying to fall asleep might not make you fall asleep. If you're not falling asleep within 30 minutes (approximately 3 changes of position in bed, trying to fall asleep) and you feel some kind of discomfort then get up. I had entire sleepless nights lying in bed trying to fall asleep. Sometimes it just doesn't work and it's better to get out of bed for about 20 minutes and then go to sleep again.

Listen to ASMR and let it lull you to sleep its what works for me. Just don’t forget to set a sleep timer, so it shuts off eventually and you don’t end up deaf in your golden years.

A good amount of stretches are helpful

May I advise for excessive boredom?
Doing something I have done 1000 time make me want to sleep even if this is the middle of the day.
Look, our brains have evolved to not the the same thing too many times. This is an evolutionary advantage.
Maybe if you read some soporific legislative text about some obscure export tax law and force your mind to not think to anything else your brain will try to find some other activity for you, which may include sleeping if you have missed some.
