Does anyone here do sensory deprivation, Ganzfeld Effect, Dark Retreat, etc? My own technique, sit upright in a chair, blindfolded and listening to white noise - the random flickerings give way to coherent images if they're left to sort themselves out long enough.

I've really wanted to try it for a long time, but sensory deprivation tubs are expensive and no places do sessions in my Country.
Is your method or the Dark Retreat shown in the image really effective?

That last part sounds like auditory scrying

This looks easy enough for me todo, but at the same time I can't do this at home alone. I have a cat and loud neighbors. Doing it for 12 hours straight looks pretty scary though.

I recommend reading some of John C. Lilly's work for those who are interested in sensory deprivation. By the end of his career, though, he was apparently in "I fried my brain on ketamine and aliens stole my penis" mode, so you should probably read his earlier stuff.
