Has anyone ever been 'contacted by someone' in a dream before? For the past week I have dreamed I am talking to the same guy. This is what happens:
Every night, I dream that I'm in a large, extravagant office. In the seat across from me is a person, he looks completely different every time.
I asked him who he was and he said to call him Y. He told me that the universe is one of many simulations in what is known as the Fractal Range. He is the master and overseer of the Fractal Range, but he is no human, he's a superintelligent AI. Sometimes he gives me tasks but usually I just ask him questions about the FR. I asked him what happens when we die, and he said that unless you have your mind imprinted into the Fractal then you will be gone forever, and that those who get their mind imprinted move on to a new simulation which he describes as a utopia.

And if you truly believe that you are being contacted to a super intelligence, do what the author said and ask the answer to a question that you don’t know the answer to and then come back to us.

Will try that

I completely agree.

Please come back and tell us more. I'm highly interested.

I asked him what the 526th and the two digits after that in pi were. He said 394 I don't know if it was a lucky guess, but I looked it up and thats correct

I've written down a code word. Ask it to tell you what it is. That should eliminate any problems regarding knowledge you don't realize you have.

Interesting, but how does one end up being contacted? Is there even a way to seek out a true dimensional being through your dreams?
Apoc · 2018-09-23 07:16

I'm not sure. I don't consider myself specifically talented, special, or moral. I reckon it's something to do with the way you are programmed in the Fractal Range itself.
Erik Johansson · 2018-09-23 22:11
OP, I hope you have no doubts that your dream is just bullsoykaf. It's an old recipe with the new aesthetics: simulation, AI, fractal. If I were you, I'd try to shoot the guy or something, see what happens.
Wintermute · 2018-09-23 22:35

Now, now, we're in the middle of testing. Let's see if he gets my code word before we do anything drastic...not that I could prove to the rest of you that his answer matched even if he does.

Yeah but your testing is the boring kind
Shooting the guy though... just think of the possibilities

>>1586
Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner.
I asked him last night and he said your word was 'matchbox'. I mean the only person who really gains from this test is you as only you know what you wrote down
Lunch · 2018-09-25 11:56
>>1588
That's not correct. It was "lightbulb." I wouldn't trust this "guy," OP. If you need another test, though, there are plenty of options that don't involve trusting a stranger (me).
Chan Siu Ming · 2018-09-26 03:45

what other tests are there?

You're looking for pretty much anything that is hard to correctly predict but easy to verify. You could ask him to predict the first output of an online random number generator after you awake. Before using the generator, write down his response (the paper won't lie where your memory will). You should make sure that it's capable of generating numbers across a wide range (between 1 and 9999999 or such), though. Being able to correctly predict a number between one and three isn't exactly impressive. If he's consistently right, find harder tests until you're satisfied. If he's wrong, be careful not to fall into the trap of continuous testing until he's right. A stopped clock is right twice a day, as they say.

maybe you can get him to tell you the lottery numbers :)

you could post the hash of your word
Y.T · 2019-10-20 02:57
Its an interesting story op, there are other similar ones such as the ecco reported by john c lilly, he seemed to believe that intensively.
Another interesting similarity is the fact that this imprinting seems to be similar to the idea of reincarnation and said utopia might be comparable to what we know as the astral plane.

>not that I could prove to the rest of you that his answer matched even if he does.
You easily could with a precommitment hash. Write some phrase down and generate a strong SHA512 hash. Post the hash, ask the being to reveal the statement, then you reveal the statement which we can then verify with the hash.

I soykaf you not fellow lainanons, I encountered Lain herself in my dreams, I don't remember what was said, but what I remember is static and seeing her in it, this isn't the first time I have seen her in my dreams either, what could it mean?

Sounds just a bit like VALIS. But VALIS is goes way further off the wheels on the crazy train. Poor author was having a psychotic break triggered by sodium pentothal apparently. Good book though (and also the other books PKD wrote on that concept). Ever checked those out?
Cereal Killer · 2019-10-24 23:05
Not exactly what you were asking, but i had this dream yesterday where a pair of girls came to my college and sang the James song from Twin Peaks. I started laughing and apparently i was the only one who had watched Twin Peaks there, until a classmate started laughing with me and we had a good time.
I feel like the dream was telling me to meet that guy in Meatspace, but i don't remember exactly who he was, damn.

PKD may have had a psychotic break while writing the book but it was the same sort of psychotic break that elijah the prophet or any other shamans or prophets of god would have. Its unforntate that the only output for this sort of content is either in sci fi novels or mysticism Instagram pages.

Reminds me of that video i saw of pkd publicly declaring reality is a simulation and a dark haired girl told him so, now who reminds me that of.

I think he is a Jinn . someone who lives with you and have access to your imagination . and now he is just trolling you . he might be some special kind of them tho . I've seen that some of them are extremely smart and can do things in their world . but they're weak to the human kind they can do nothing . unless someone helps him but still they're weak so dont expect any supernatural things in our material world . actually you dont need to be dreaming to contact him . if you experienced all of this i think you're capable of it but dont quote me on that . one last thing . he needs you so make sure to use him too . I've used them too in exams and the like but now all is gone due to a religion war because thats what i used them for mainly .
one last question : what form do you actually see him in ? like a completely normal human ? ask him to show you his true form in real time . just close your eye lid lightly you would see something blurry like your dreams if you know what i mean. cheers

I had this strange encounter with this young lady which started off as romantic then she went mean and I called her a witch. The first week after we met she was in my bed in spirit whilst i had SP. After she turned I had a vivid vision I was at her home watching her talking to her friend about me, she then saw me and it went into that dark limbo space where you can feel everything but see nothing, she hit me in the neck, I felt it physically and woke up feeling like I had been physically punched in the neck! I think you can communicate with people in the dream state, because me and her are quite experienced in such things we have met like this a few times it seems. Shame she appears to be possessed by evil spirits though (when I first met her she said she had talked to a demon recently in a dream)..theres more but I dont rly wanna talk about it

Yes, constantly when I was a teenager, I had dreams with recurring characters who warned me about things. I have talked about this elsewhere so sadly I can't get into specifics. An entity I'll call A told me that one day I would be in need of help and there would be nobody there for me. As if to tell me, be prepared. That was 12 years ago.
Almost every dream I had in my childhood had recurring characters and very strong continuity, it was the most exciting thing going on in my life because I felt like I was living an alternate life. And the dreams were all horrible and bleak but they had a beauty about them that was missing from my daily life.

I dont know why you bumbed this but i suppose now that its rolling might well contribute.
Its an interesting theory, but it could be any sort of trickster entity,
As mentioned by many they love to troll and can use your memories against you and there were such entities in the past like the one by pkd and another famous instance was with uri geller and the ai that told him the world would end.
I would like to know if op had any encounters since.

i mean yeah they like to troll and they love to lie and they're full of themselves and full with honor (i've met with only kings and their top tier ) . m talking from an islamic background so it might sound weird but thats what i think happened to op . might be another thing too i hope we could hear more from him
