Consistent "better than reality" dreaming
hel · 2017-07-03 17:15
We've (mostly) all had this experience. You wake up from a dream - bitter that it wasn't real and annoyed that it ended or lasted just that little bit longer.
Do any of you Anons get this "type" of dream consistently?
I get them so frequently that I'm so used to it I just end up think - "time to go back to reality". Not only does this bum me out but it makes me feel like soykaf for seeing such a potential side of my life that I'll never achieve.
I think a lot of this comes down to previous to sleep - imagining and wondering about the possibilities or things I'd love to do but "can't".
Thoughts?

You should focus on improving your life, anyway dreams are very often better than reality for everyone I think

My dreams almost always end precoitus or just in the beginning, it's quite annoying. Although I'm very appreciative that typically I have a long drawn out romanticised day that precedes it.

Had this dream more than a decade ago, when I was probably 14 years old, where I pulled a beautiful blonde girl on a pinkish red dress, near where I used to study, and undressed her on the hood of a wine red car. I spent all those years looking for a girl like her and never came close to seeing a girl so pretty with that dress.

Those rare romantic dreams where there is a girl who is interested in you are some of the best.
That feeling of mutual attraction and reciprocation is amazing.

I might be getting into /feels/ area here but have you never been in reciprocal love?

And driving around just chilling with her head on your shoulder..... I had a gf for nine months that I broke up with half a year ago, I miss those moments. I'm glad that it happened, but I would never date her again....
Now about that dream I had, her name's Elizabeth and she's beautiful, we're pretty good friends but she has a bf that she's been dating for a few years and it's never going to last, all she used to do was talk about the fighting and wanting to breakup. I get along with her so we'll I never got along with my ex like it.... I want to smoke some tree with her so bad.......

I have found many "the ones", and some of them even got far with me. After a while, it becomes a stale thing, and you'll notice a person should match the other, but rather like each other enough for love to happen. I hope you can find this on your life.

My dreams tend to be just as brutal as reality, and sometimes moreso. On the occasion when I still remember dream(s) most are slightly altered versions of meaningless, inane everyday activities. There is no novelty. There is nothing interesting or mind expanding. There is nothing profound. There is no beauty. Just as there is no self evident beauty in the waking world, and I've long since stopped bothering with creating it myself. Twisting, skewing, dissociating, and distorting the mind and perception to make any of this not worthless, broken, trash.
Most days I barely feel conscious and capable of dynamic functioning. Borderline brain damaged. Dreams would naturally reflect that.
