Detective show

Columbo ~ nice show to binge on. "How done it" beats "whodunnit"(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, Please elaborate on what specifically you want to discuss about Columbo and your own thoughts and experiences. You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf.)

>>9641 isnt it called a howacatchem? it is pretty good, although im not entirely sure why... it kinda scares me when i think about how i enjoyed it

>>9920 Yeah you're usually shown exactly how they done it, but as the viewer you are meant to look for the cracks in how they covered up the crimes (which columbo will probably trump you in doing). I feel something like columbo would never be made for modern audiences, too slow, not enough spectacle and plus the casting of almost exclusively rich white men would never make it past a network commitee nowadays.

>>9951 they'd remake it. Columbo is clearly a spic so they can darken him a shade or ten and maybe make him a woman. Mullato female Columbo can come across as lady sherlock, making up bizzare connexions the audience couldn't possibly have realized as she takes down upper middle class whites cishet colonists who've murdered their bipoc neighbors, housekeepers and employees. She spends most episodes showing up the primarily white male police force thats utterly incompotent and blatantly corrupt/white supremacist. Frequent guest characters include the (gay) black doctor/forsenics guy, a quiet nerdy sort who panics under fire, the mysterious dyke street cop who its hinted may be a past love interest for columbo and may be again, and the department supervisor, a good natured white fratbro who turns out to be the villain in the season finale. Some joke is made in the first episode about her quitting cigars.

>>9952 > actual world going to sh¡t for real in 1000 ways > inventing imaginary remakes from plebe pop culture to get triggered about

>>9954 hey fam c'mon I'm working on my career as a tv writer

I never watched columbo. I saw a bunch of people online talking about it so I figure it's going through a resurgence at the moment. Although for a detective show, my personal favorite is Monk. Used to watch it with my dad and it was fun. Does Columbo have a quirk like Adrian's obsessive nature?

>>10317 Yes. All major media detectives are quirky. Look at the OP photo. It tells you all you need to know.
