Weird Random Images Thread

Everyone go to https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page, select 'Random file' until you find something [/b]Truly[/b] interesting/weird/unorthodox etc, etc. I want to see weird people. Really weird.

not the weirdest but weirdest that showed up quickly for me. And prrty trrky. interesting idea, lets hope the thread bears the weirdest fruits.

This is a fun thread idea; only took me a few clicks to find weird imagery!

curl -s 'https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Random/File' -L | sed 's/Size of this preview/\nSize of this preview/g' | grep "Size of this preview" | cut -d '"' -f 2

>>9500 could be better, not every page has the 'Size of this preview' string

>>9497 i have no idea what the fuarrrk this one is

>>9497 Best ones i found

1st image, NSFW, probably.

>In third world countries like India the saniation is bad While true, this does not explain why someone sketched a woman mid squat.

Nice, this is a source buffet for the /glitchart/ thread

The random generator was fixated on ordinary buildings and roads today. Wonder if there's some kind of rolling selection bias?

>>9538 I like it when the PRNG kind of makes a story... It's like Zorg was just in these ruins looking for THE STONES. When I notice the stories, I tend to read a bit too much into things in case the RNG tries to indicate something like, "Help I'm trapped in a random number factory!" IMO, that's not a terrible cyberpunk writing prompt. Imagine a world where humans only NEED to exist in order that machine sentience could have free will too via sharing the human capacity for nondeterministic I/O.

I tried. Will try again. Later. Interesting thread but ''weird'' images are not so common.

A lot of the pics in my misc folder are things I've found in yahoo sites indexes. It's crazy what other people will upload and forget about.

This was the image of the day for October 30, 2022 which I thought was pretty INCREDIBLE. "Eruption of Mount Etna in Sicily, Italy seen from the International Space Station on 30 October 2002."

Here's somebody's little project to bruteforce imgur ID's to come up with a page of random images. It seems to be a little limited, but i still am having a good time refreshing the page for unpredictable things. https://sizeof.cat/project/imgur-id-bruteforcer/

>>9497 But what if I have a short body?

>>9879 I got some funny ones.

I think this is some kind of freaky insect but I cant be sure, might well be some sort of weird grain.@#3# ?

>>9500 improved this to open it in browser img=$(curl -s 'https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Random/File' -L | sed 's/Size of this preview/\nSize of this preview/g' | grep "Size of this preview" | cut -d '"' -f 2) && firefox --new-tab "$img"

These guys are definitely up to something...

their image of the day. very triply and itawestin

>>9497 this is my favorite image

>>11555 What is this even supposed to be? Some massive internet cafe?

>>9497 Dara. Why does I have the options to place the url of a picture under the choose file boxes that work with the link?

3 pic of earth, cool japan book, and Nurnburg Castle (Incredible)

This one is very interesting. So many little snapshots of life and stories

Where the fuarrrk is it? Where the fuarrrk is it?

>>12706 youre a bit of a special lainon. Heres the direct link just for you;: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Random/File

>>12707 Thank you lainon, I assume it has something to do with my no JS setup. Here are a few that I found interesting

>>11589 It's a LAN party my dude. This is just how they looked back in the day. Back when PC's had a little more personality and variety than the minimal copy-paste neon boxes you see today.

Found these two >>12707 on the link

>>12862 damn if this doesn't scream "middle school scene phase" i dont know what does. my early teenhood in a picture here.

Really like this one. Look at this goober lol

>>12866 Is that Mike Mozart?? You have no clue what a legend this guy is. He's a YouTube OG, in all his old videos he'll ask you to 'rate five stars'. He was a professional toy designer that made videos reviewing toys good and bad, and weird food products.

some images i have collected over recent times, have been trying more and more to save images that for whatever weird reason "speaks to me" or images that "itch" a certain part of my brain whether it comes from danbooru or wikipedia.
