I'd say polished enough for someone to unironically use it as their profile pic because they found it off of Pinterest.

please try not to focus too much on internet clicks anon. I've gotten experience with this on accident though. So basically the way you build a community is to cater to specific niches. I've gotten most of my following from lain art for example. I am very angry about it, but it happened, and I can share the experience to people who actually care about it. However, I promise internet points are not very gratifying. It does seem like a dream to be known across the net but I hate seeing randos using my art as pfps unironically. It makes me schizo out so hard.
but the point is; draw for a specific niche if you want a community. that's why insane fetish artists are usually super popular. but my personal advice for being an artist that shares your work is to make art simply for you. Treat yourself as if you are the only viewer that matters. I think the guy who directed the newest dune movie even said that the most important audience you need to please is yourself. Polish doesn't really matter, as long as you feel it's presentable and it's nice you can do whatever the hell you want.
I'm sorry if this is rambley, I am very sleep deprived right now
