I use Photoshop cs6 and i do the camara effect and text warp effect on after effects. i did this in a couple of hours not sure how many :p advice mmm. i dont really know a lot about animation principles and the sort of stuff that you learn in books or courses because i teach myself but i'll try to give some advice. Practice a lot of drawing (stuff that you like or you'll go insane). by a lot in my case that would be 8-12 hours a day(not really plausible unless you are a neet like me) and if you want your animations to look good you shouldnt rush them the more time you spend the better they look.
