I've been playing around with glitch art and circuit bending. So far, I've been able to get about two or three great repeatable audio-video glitches on this device, an "e-kara pro" made by Xavix and sold by Hasbro stateside.
It uses cartridge based songs. I've been able to make some great digital glitches by grounding the pins on the data bus leading to the cartridge. It presumably runs a 6502 processor and is modeled after the Nintendo Famicon. I'm planning on using the built-in audio and video glitches for instrument and voice modulation. I'm posting this here because I'm mainly interested in visual glitches. What steps should I go through to polish this up and make it a device I can use on stage for both graphics and music, How should I trigger glitches and connect it to AV equipment? Is there any way to reverse-engineer the pinout of the cartridge slot to add my own images?
