What do you think about of the Utopia series?

The first season was much stronger than the second. The bad guys made points that were too good, so they had to "evil it up". Always annoys me.
I *really* like the way it looks, the way it sounds, the general style. Top fuarrrkin notch. If you like the trailer you will not be disappointed.

I think it's one of the best recent UK series with great visuals, soundtrack from Cristobal Tapia de Veer and british humour style, experiments and a manuscript.

Has some cliche moments, but that aside, it's such a fun watch. Extremely enjoyable and visually pleasing. The music is fuarrrking brilliant too.
Agree with the other lainon, it dips a bit after the first season (and why the fuarrrk did they swap out the doctor like that?) but it's still good.
Why the fucc did they cancel it?

Visually one of the more impressive series to come out in the last decade or so. Every shot was framed in such a creative way. A bit David Lynch-ish maybe.

Americans wanted to remake it and someone figured they couldn't have two series running at once. Why the hell it needed a remake is beyond me, especially when it wasn't even finished. It's bad enough that people can't read subtitles and so they remake for example Swedish movies for America, or they remake something from decades ago because some millennials think it's "dated" but this series was IN ENGLISH already and still in progress. The only thing I can think of is that the school shooting part was too sensitive for US audiences, maybe. Then HBO decided not to make it anyway and some streaming service (Amazon?) is going to.

Liked the beginning way more. It started out great but the scale of things was a tad too small considering all the bullsoykaf around it.

`Quality and audacity don't often go hand in hand with massive ratings, sadly, and with a slate of new dramas arriving on Channel 4 in the coming year (including much-anticipated sci-fi Humans, and more), the decision was taken to lay Utopia to rest.' is what I heard.
