How can I make something like that background?

@ mod I don't need an epistemic coherent reason for starting a thread, used
the idea is that 'bad 3d' is aesthetically pleasing, i think it will make a comeback since moores law stopped and hardware is stagnant; not in competition to AAA garbage but to advance more individual art...
there's bad cg in SEL, and also Ted Nelson who constantly complains in his lectures that computer graphics have been used exclusively for games and entertainment whereas rendering documents has been totally neglected

I used to have a disk of some software (forget waht it was called) but it was an early 3D "house" that imported your desktop, you could walk around, and one room was your icons, one was a web browser you could use, and the other rooms had different aspects of your PC and IIRC you could put 3d objects all around and change textures and put images up around the structure.
I think that it was pretty useless, but neat at the time. I think it would make sense now if it was used with VR tech that was unavailable at the time

i was actually thinking a few years ago that a virtual 3D human interface to computer would be a cool idea. maybe not a house per se, but some 3D environment would make it more familiar.
