to be honest the image that did it for me was a guy who died in his living room chair next to the radio and tv, didnt get found for weeks. The backstory was he was a neet. I felt really sad and then decided to change my neet ways, lest I die in such a pathetic way.

This is "Worn Out" by Vincent Van Gogh. Maybe not the saddest image in the world, but the first one that came to mind when I saw this thread.

didn't the "Journalists" find the dead kid in some rocks, then move the body to make a more impactful pose for that now "iconic" tearjerking propaganda?
I'm so sad that there is one less economic migrant flooding into Europe too quickly to keep their children safe.
Anyone else seen white helmet fakes of people in rubble and blood drenched kids? Then the bloody "injured" kid is smiling / playing in the next shots. Face it, for all we know that "dead" beach kid is alive and well, just rolled over and held breath like Mommy White Helmet taught while the nice reporter snapped a pic.
With AI generated images/videos/speech having been available to govs prior to being publicly available, I find it hard to get sad over any mainstream news.
Everlain should know the basics of megacorp agitprop is the Hegelian Dialectic: [Come up with a program to accept], Create Problem, Stoke Reaction, publi Acceps Solution [the program] that is advertized ostensibly with ulterior motive. "Let no crisis go to waste!"
Pic related: Endangered Brown Spotted Owl. These have 6ft wingspan and love newgrowth forests (fresh tree growth a couple years after a wilfire). There is minimum underbrush and it's easy to swoop down on their prey. Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) prevents farmers from clearing land of underbrush with overly strict regulations against controlled burns (problem created). Declining Brown Spotted Owl populations move to logging operation territory where they can still thrive. (Useful id!ot) Environmentalists decry the existence of sustainable/renewable logging operations as a percieved threat to Endangered Owl population (reaction stoked). (Useful id!ot) Protestors spike trees of small time logging operations and generally make it harder for tree farmers to stay in business. Smaller tree farms close; Owls move to another logging area; After a bit, while useful id!ots are distracted by another "crisis", Larger logging companies buy the small tree farms. (Plan accepted: UN Agenda 21 & 2030: place all natural resources in hands of govs or large corporations more beholden to govs than smaller biz).
Now, THAT is sad. Poor owls used as pawns for id!ot human politics. Environmentalistas are useless pawns too, and actually work against the Owl's best intrests: Larger Logging Corps keep vermin (owl prey) to a minumum to avoid having complications with endangered owls deciding to thrive in their tree farm.
Hell, the protestors paint a big red X (not bands of construction orange) on oldgrowth Trees that smaller farms keep in the family, and work around. Protestors get all upset about nothing, claim she's gonna cut the old wood down, and make the little biz close, then they don't notice (not televized) when 84 Lumber buys & cuts down the oldgrowth lumber so they don't have to work/plan around it. Lain loves the environment, but loathes "environmentalists", and it's sad that thems the real politik, eh?

That is sad!
this is a picture of an overly dense thicket of ponderosa pines. This sort of overgrowth frequently happens due to excessive fireprevention, as brush fires would ordinarily sweep through periodically thinning the forest out. As a consequence, none of the trees are healthy, and what is more when a fire does occur it tends to be much more devastating to all trees, including the larger and more established ones.

How deranged do you have to be to read your retarded ch ud worldview into a picture of a dead kid?
>every image out there that's distasteful my for my worldview is all made up AI roboshit/staged by evil lib pinko commies
Yeah sure... he washed up on Bodrum by the way, not Europe and the White Helmets are in Syria not Turkey. Didn't do any basic fact checking did you?
That kid was a war refugee whose home was under siege by ISIS or did you just forget about the whole invasion of Iraq? Operation Inherent Resolve. Blow the soykaf out of other countries and expect someone else to pay for it. You don't like refugees turning up on your doorstep? Stop bombing the soykaf out of their countries and don't get other people to foot the bill.
>the basics of megacorp agitprop is the Hegelian Dialectic:
OHH the hegelians are behind everything *sniff* now it all makes sense :O

Crying anime girls aren't sad.
Not even the picture of a dead kid is sad, we all have seen videos of kids dying. You get used to it. It happen all the time anyway.
You need a story to make something sad.
The only other sad picture here is the Calvin one. Loosing the dreams and fantasies you had as a kid to become a functional adult, man. That hurt.
Roger Pollack · 2024-03-16 04:24

I do have a plan to execute over two decades or so of buying a fairly isolated property (enough to be alone and in privacy, not enough that I can't receive deliveries from big markets) and die there, hoping that my body will not be found probably for decades. Nothing sad in that.

Actually that's not necessarily true. I've always found pic related to be incredibly sad. If you really look at it for a while you'll see that it's one of the most fuarrrking up photos ever taken. It's so bad the photographer who took it killed himself. It's also creepy

How?
You and I will be eaten by worms, where is the creepy? If anything, isn't it better to be eaten by a good looking animal? From and to ashes and all that.
I find it cool to become biomass personally.
Now, if you argue that kids dying is sad, you would have made a point. If we get to the topic of how to prevent it, we will have a problem because in 99% of the cases, it's the action of their government or lack of that is the cause. The land look generous.

I will argue that the saddest picture play on universal chords, like the denial of death.
Anything that get us to figure that we have made up a lie for our own comfort is sad to us.
