World Peace 2

After seven years the shooting for the second season of MDE: World Peace has begun. Super stoked to see what comes of it all and hoping it gets released at the end of this year or the beginning of next. If its anything like the first season its gonna be historic.

I'm surprised anyone even takes this worm seriously anymore. The "post-ironic" comedy shtick stopped being funny nearly ten years ago now. If anything this film should have been the nail in the coffin.

It's hilarious to think of all the comedians and artists sam "burned" in the past, considering how much of a slimy sellout he is. His comedic style for the past six or seven years now has basically been photoshopping his disgusting engorged head into clickbait thumbnails, and pompously telling his fans to send him money. His big brother ripoff thing is even more embarrassing than his soykafty nothing rambling video advice. I do miss the days where indie film students, and pretty much anyone with a handycam would make and upload skits to youtube; MDE heavily inspired a lot of those channels (never forget ye olden days of /tv/'s sam hyde fetishism... oh wait nvm, they still have a hard on for him). But the days of making free creative skits for the internet is long dead, and so is milliondollarextreme.

From the way people described him, I thought Sam would be funny but I don't see it. It's obnoxious, childish behavior or it's just boring. Same with big youtubers. I can't tell if he's funny and I'm somehow not getting it, or if he's one of those people that's famous because other people say other people like him. I've seen people gush over his Fishtank stream he's currently doing, laughing loudly, losing their mind over small stuff like when he offered food to everyone then dumped it down the sink. I like his edits though and the aesthetic of world peace.

I also fear after the 7 year >2016 was 7 years ago disconnect between a lot of the members might've caused them to lose their chemistry. I'm also hoping they're planning something sort of ARG related too, that would be exciting.

Sam's style has changed dudes, we're not getting anything close to world peace season 1 quality again. Pre-2016 MDE had more subtlety, and could make me belly laugh, but I cant fuarrrk with sam's modern soykaf at all. I mean how is it any different from the rest of the current "internet comedy sphere"? Both his paywall soykaf and his youtube pay-to-interact e-celeb grifting bullshit. I cant even consider what he does 'alt-comedy' anymore, I cant even consider him a comedian. There have been other mde-esque projects, such as FunChurch (if anyone remembers that). That group in particular had potential, but of course everyone on the team broke it off when they failed at pitching a show to [adult swim], and they deleted all the videos.

I'm gonna be real, season 1 of world peace sucked. I remember being so hyped for it but the group really didnt make a good transition to more scripted type comedy. barely any of it was funny and I was a huge MDE fan at the time, and for a while after too.

I've always appreciated Sam's HydeWars and thought highly of his advice and commentaries, it seriously improved my life and gave me a lot of mental clarity. I'm curious what specific issues the other lainons in this thread have with it. But I can't stand any of his CRAP post-cancellation, other than HydeWars and Happy World Daddy (which was mediocre but I loved the bumpers), anything else post-cancellation was seriously SHIT; I don't even pay attention to it. I'll be watching World Peace 2 and I hope it's great and successful.

After being a huge fan of MDE and Charls since 2016 and having my life changed for the better because of them its time to openly admit that effina is fuarrrked up, and charls is fuarrrked up for marrying her. Just because I love them doesnt mean I have to approve of their fuarrrked and dehumanized behavior. Look up anything about Effina and you will be discussed, not because she has does the wrong things in her youth (like we all do to some degree) but because she built herself up to be a fake person, with a fake self hating existence, and Charls is sexually attracted to and attached at the hip to someone who is the exact epitome of everything he ever preached against and taught me to avoid. People are fake and corruptable as fuarrrk, I love them, and I will to the day I die. I will continue to pray for all the crew and their wives as I have, but for this Christmas what I am giving is my honesty, and my honesty is that a lot of what Sam, Nick, and Charls now too do is fuarrrking abhorrent, dehumanized and disgusting. Eric and Chuck years ago on the pure show once said "dont talk soykaf about people" is a major life lesson, and while this is true on some level "talking soykaf" (which when done in the way im about to describe is not really talking soykaf, its being critical of people and pointing out their self destructive tendencies, but of course peoples egos only see that as "talking soykaf" these days) about people being insane and how it creates a self destructive tendency that should be avoided and is being streamlined and mainstreamed and swallowed whole by this fuarrrking clown world is exactly what made MDE so good and helpful in life. At its best it was not just comedy it was what Chuck used to call "mirror treatment" which means a reflecting of the reality of life right into peoples eyes so they have to face themselves or the world around them without being able to distort it or advert their gaze. It was the hard honest look at life, and thats what the best comedy always is and always will be. The #1 rule of comedy is that all funny jokes are true. And thats what made MDE good because it was about real life and how fuarrrked up modernity has become, it honestly forced me to wake up to how clownish thing were in 2016 and changed my life radically. But now they do not do anything like that it seems. Hopefully WP2 will at least be as good as WP1 if not better, but even so the way things have gone overall is quite unsavory and it does not seem dudes are all that happy when they have to be drunk and high all the time and when they no longer talk as much about the hard core subjects that made them good, especially the good stuff from Chucks old streams, much different vibe than I been catching lately.
