https://battle-programmer-shirase.neocities.org/ There's a little game/challenge you can play on the page. It's been here for a while but no one has ever managed to solve it. Although that's probably I never had a lot of visits in the first place.

I like this one >>954 the most. It feels like the thing is resting gently for being closer to the bottom, the lower part in black makes it looks like it. This one >>955, well, it's like it's moving towards me through a tube, I guess it's because of those little lines coming from the yellow ring. It makes me feel like it's some kind of perspective. I prefer the first one.
Terzibashjian · 2017-09-15 02:32
>>954 Would say that this looks good, the colors seem to portray something. Came out good. Also the shape in the middle reminds me of some hologram. >>955 I like this one more, it's more abstract though it could be like an anime eye. Like the first one but overall better. This is an phone wallpaper I made. Kind of going for the trendy look but with a twist.

>>917 Am I reading > 3'5fa8f40a4ad8213fa164b3bbcbbe6cc; right? I'm guessing it's some kind of cipher thing (I've always been pretty abysmal at those) Step 1 I guess would be probably turning all dat hex in the page into just a binary file or something But the catch is, it looks like there's a left "column" of data which would need to be manipulated separately, like an index or something perhaps. At the very least it should probably be handled as a separate (if linked) data stream. Maybe it's a key like it should be XOR'd repeating over each row, or..idk. There are infinite possibilities, anyone can come up with a fun little system for hiding data, but finding out how someone's encoded data I've always figured required basically a savant to look at something and reverse engineer it And my Navi is out of commission at the moment, using one without a stash of devtools even. :/

>>1242 >I don't really understand why people say literally nothing about my work. most people are not familiar with avant garde type art, especially if its stuff like glitch art or otehr wise shape based art. The reason they "appreciate" famous artists is because its something that people teach in schools, not something that people do because of a genuine appreciation of aesthetics

>>1242 yea, what this guy said: >>1254 i've had the same insecurities about the somewhat experimental music i like to make. all told, i actually think it's a good thing for your art. having a strong sense of personal taste is important as an artist. people who get too much praise early on have trouble developing the ability to look at their own work and decide on the spot whether it's good or not. the especially insecure ones just default to "this is soykaf" until they get praised by someone else. it sounds dumb to say but if you like what you do, that's all that really matters. i don't mean to imply that you shouldn't push yourself, just saying that you should get your artistic drive from personal aspirations rather than the praise other people give you. after all, popular culture is fuarrrking terrible.
Meddler · 2017-11-06 04:08
>>1219 the left "column" doesn't actually exist. this tripped me up at first. it's just the text wrapping around and overlapping. make your monitor window bigger or the text size smaller. here's what i figured out so far: >text on page is hex code (obviously) >resulting binary is not any kind of archive my system can recognize >it's not an elf binary either (tried to load objects with gdb and it failed) >can't decrypt it with gpg >the bytes where the file signature/magic numbers would be don't seem to be meaningful: 77b5 47c8 17f6 e01b >actually, there doesn't seem to be a header at all (just from looking at it, there's none of the null bytes/offsets and such that say "header" to me). >running it through a bunch of common hash algorithms didn't do anything interesting must just be cipher text. i only tried some common decryption tools on it, but maybe raw RSA or AES with that string as the key would work. ...unless it's some weird academic cipher, in which case i don't think anyones ever going to get it. sage for ot text

>>1242 What exactly is it your trying to do, could you say in a way that doesnt use the words or synonyms of the words "aesthetic" or "looks". To be honest it feels like most of this stuff here is like that. Its just kind of "Yeah glitch art" or "experimental" or "vaporwave". But your the only one asking why so thats why you get the reply, probably most here are just having fun with it not expecting anything. Saying they don't "get it" is stupid, what is there to get? >>1254 is stupid. Aesthetic appreciation is something everyone does. It's going beyond that which is going to make your art noticed or significant. "Aesthetics" is the most surface level low effort uninspired thing you could be conveying and it makes me frustrated that people with talent choose to do that. Its like learning to be a great singer and then never writing your own lyrics. What a waste. and then >"The reason they "appreciate" famous artists is because its something that people teach in schools". Im always inclined to agree with things like this until I realize the only times ive heard it not being used to excuse shortcomings is from people who went to art school/went and dropped out. This is one of those cases where its this dunning kruger effect of you knowing so little you think "aesthetics", whatever you know that word to mean, is "deep" and what arts all about. Its so crazy to me people in here actually think these words mean anything besides "looks cool lol" and are actually angry that most people don't agree.
