Consumerist crap and brand names, no. I wonder if that guy has a moots bike, they are 10000 dollars.
Anonymous · 2014-11-09 08:51
>>3717 lol they arent all $10,000.. They had a demo at my local store and handed out stickers. I dont see a problem with supporting brands i like. Boulevard is local to my state, CherokeeForum is a forum, Remz is an extremely small company thats skater owned, Kickwear is also a local company, KRINK, is another small company, Velo+ is another local one. You got me with Vans apple, and Jimmy Johns.

I would consider putting an FSF sticker on it if I had a laptop :(
Anonymous · 2014-11-09 13:41
I would but I don't take mine outside.
Anonymous · 2014-11-09 14:12
I don't put stickers on stuff ever. Not even case badges.
Anonymous · 2014-11-09 15:08
I dont' put brands on it, but I put stickers that look cool or mean something to me.

>>3723 OP posted the same thread here and in /g/. I thought to myself, "alright, fuck it." Also, I had some stickers upside down and some rightside up. I don't put stickers on my laptop just so dipshits can see them when the lid is open. I put them on for me too, for when the lid is closed… because I'm somebody damnit!

I hate stickers usually, but indeed the back of my laptop seems to be a preserve for the last of the stickers. They are meant to make me look 1337.

Yes. I doubt I will do so when the time comes to replace it. Maybe I will re-order my Linux sticker and slap it over the branding, but only that.
Anonymous · 2014-11-11 22:01
Stickers on any consumer device or good in general are a bit tacky ((`・ω・´)b) in my opinion. The first thing I do with anything new/old I receive is remove any visible stickers unless it absolutely must stay on for whatever reason. I've considered spray-painting stencils or printing stuff out on adhesive vinyl, but can never find anything I'd like to do it with.
Anonymous · 2014-11-15 02:21
I'm considering buying one of these for my laptop.

I have like 2 stickers on my laptop - some old net neutrality sticker and one for my high school. I've been meaning to put more on but I'd really want it to be for things I consider myself a part of, not just a bunch of stickers for the sake of having them

I got two stickers free this week with an Art print I ordered arrived. This laptop is beat to soykaf but I said fuarrrk it and used the stickers on it. I messed up a bit and let air bubbles form underneath but was able to get most of them out with a credit card. I think they look decent.

Anonymous · 2015-02-22 20:21
>>5107 Indeed. We can order them individually or someone could order them online and we somehow give our postal adress and maybe money to that person. Alternatively, 1. Print on.thick.paper (ink jet on glossy paper or color laser or something ) 2. Glue on/stick on with strong two-sided tape 3. ??? 4. Profit or not depending on skill and standarts for sticker quality
Anonymous · 2015-02-22 20:33
>>5109 whats best is ordering usps and ups labels and printing on those
Anonymous · 2015-02-23 12:49
>>5109 That way it is going to become soykaf after some time. I've had something like pic related on the palm rest for 5 years and it's almost as good as new. Materials: - Two-sided tape - Wide transparent tape - Paper 1) Create a sheet with logos, preferably with different sizes of the same logo, leave enough space between them. 2) Print on paper the logos, paper isn't really important, color laser will probably tolerate better humidity but otherwise inkjet is good too. 3) Look at which size looks better (also see 4) and roughly cut it out leaving some border 4) Cover the logo with transparent tape, it's better if there are no overlaps to prevent dirty lines in the future, also the tape should exceed a bit the logo's borders. 5) Place double sided tape on the underside, the tape should exceed a bit the logo's borders, it's ok if it overlaps as long you're able to remove the adhesive's protection later, you could also ignore this step by using label paper but I haven't tested it. 6) Cut out nicely the logo, remove the adhesive's protection and apply to laptop The result can be pretty good and durable if the tape is good.
