Anarchist cookbook style stuff, but more modern. How do you get into hotel rooms, or snacks from vending machines, or how do you convince a phone to tunnel unlimited data into a pc without hotspot?
Image unrelated but interesting.
I'll post in here when I get some stuff together, i mostly made this on inspiration from a thread in /tech/

>How do you get into hotel rooms
You go through a corridor and see a CCTV camera, then turn 360 degrees and walk away because you're being tracked and your social credit would drop tremendous amounts when you try to enter a hotel room without booking it first.
>snacks from vending machines
Wait till resupply technician arrives and steal from him.
>tunnel unlimited data into a pc without hotspot?
Use a USB cable.

>Anarchist cookbook style stuff, but more modern.
heard of trade publications for the tech and science industry?
>How do you get into hotel rooms
depends on the door, coat hanger or magnets, or any number of ways depending on locks, defcon had at least one or two lectures on it
>snacks from vending machines,
bill on a string, or figure out the button sequences for command entry (i accidently stumbled upon this when a n alarms would not turn off on one at my work, turns out most vending machines have sequences like LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT LEFT and some do not have locks on who can enter admin/service mode)
>how do you convince a phone to tunnel unlimited data into a pc without hotspot?
you can tether unlimited (with data cap for high speed/throttled connection) this is usually cheaper more reliable than soykafty internet, as 4g is roughly comparable to 70-150mbps download speed (happens after a set data cap, or usually after 30gb on unlimited plans), and even at a throttled speed you are still going at about 0.5mbps which is fast enough to browse chans/irc
rumor has it that some carriers can have their data cap plans be overridden by simply using a VPN, I have not yet figured this out

This is all cool stuff. I like those mirrors with lcd screens behind em so you can see the time of day and weather and nice quotes.
You takean lcd from a tv, put it behind the frame of the mirror, cut a hole forcables, and use a raspberry pi. :)

>then turn 360 degrees and walk away
180 degrees not 360 you dum dum unless you were talking about spinning 360 THEN spinning 180 degrees to walk away

On those LED dot construction signs, the default password is often DOTS.

Sorry if my question has been spamed to no end, but this is the first time I have seen a thread covering this topic.

The only one of those I've done is getting snacks from a vending machine for free. Most vending machines you can pretty easily find the make and model of from the outside, and the owner's manual is just a google away from there. Many vending machines have a set, default password, and many owners don't change it. When I was in high school, my friends and I did this to get set the cost of vending machine goods to cheap or free. Our high school vending machines were vulnerable to this, until one dumbass set the price for everything to $99.99 and the faculty figured out how to change the password. A couple years ago I was back in my home town visiting family and tried it out on the park's vending machines and it still works there.
Unfortunately, modern vending machines are starting to require physical access to the inside of the machine to reprogram it.

Just look around the machine for the make and model and google for the owner's manual.
