drone assassinations

are officially now a thing that anyone can do. https://edition.cnn.com/2018/08/04/americas/venezuela-maduro/index.html how to secure a venue against a drone assassination attempt? electronic countermeasures?

wee need emp weapons

doing it isnt hard, doing it legally is problematic. the most effective method by far is to use a wide spectrum signal jammer. In most places doing this causes the government to R3333333 since it blocks legitimate forms of communication or C&C of machines. there are low tech methods like training birds to attack drones many armies have created drone beam guns that jam a localized area or overpower the signal so the drone can be hacked Lasers are also effective, but target tracking equipment is hard to come by, expensive, and sometimes outright illegal, as are making laser weapons in many cases the lowest budget solution for most people is to get net projectiles for a shotgun

>>5525 An autonomous drone with enough physical sensors and optical recognition to estimate its position/target could get past the jamming.

>>5524 This just carry a battery big enough to jam a 100m radius for 5~10 mins and I what I mean by "jam"ming is frying every circuit at close range and blocking communications at long range but if the drone is carrying a sniper rifle and is running a local script/program you are fuarrrked

Dan Hoff's "Burn This Book" is supposed to have a design for a an EMP device of some sort. Does anyone have a copy?
Cypher · 2018-08-07 20:52
>If they think you're crude, go technical. If they think you're technical, go crude. Forget the EMP, just fuarrrking shoot it. In burgerland. an EMP will probably get you in waaaay more trouble than you would otherwise. Birdshot will probably do the job just fine.

Remember that drones are considered aircraft so attacking it to take it out of the sky is illegal.

>how to secure a venue against a drone assassination attempt? A roof might be a good start
The Phantom Phreak · 2018-08-08 12:01
>>5559 >someone about to get asassinated >but ermahgerd it's illegal omg wow if the lives of you or someone you care about are at risk, "illegal" shouldn't matter.

>>5527 >>5527 >not understanding jamming to jam all frequencies requires a compromise of antenna design. You need different sized antennas to get the desired effect, which means that if you want to create a jammer across a lot of different spectrums, you loose out on the power you can put into it. you could use multiple antennas all jamming at different frequencies, but then you lose out on the compact nature. you would need a vehicle sized jamming rig. >if the drone is carrying a sniper rifle an israeili defense contractor already had sniper enabled drones a few years ago, you can commercially buy them >>5528 >>5559 the illegality of it is less of a deal than the actual ability to stop it. don't forget that a drone is capable of anything a person can do, except with the ability to travel much faster. pre programmed flight coordinates/ target-fire solutions can make autonomous drones immune to signal intercepting like the other lainon said, and if you look at the use of rifles against drones in syria and iraq, those are not very effective (imagine trying to shoot an object traveling 150kmh from a range of 300m) the best bet is to hide in an area with poor aerial coverage, like a megacity or underground (why the US military is preparing for underground warfare in the mid-late 21st century)
