Opsec to protect from some 20 year old losers?

Zhora · 2025-11-10 06:31
Hello lainons, have a case of bad cyberbullying campaign in regards to a child. Before I even begin, the thing should've been dealt with some decent parent supervision and some opsec, but sadly it did not happen. Basically a friendgroup formed on Playstation Network, with them playing together. Some of the people playing are genuine 20 year olds who play with kids as low as 8 year old. They hold contact on whatsapp as well. Playing several videogames together on playstation, forming a group of 15 or more people. Now there is a manipulator who used the kid in question to farm online rank, his reasoning being that the kid "insulted him". Upon cutting contact after increased demands for no reason and overall manipulation. Several different people, both related to the PSN group and not, started to message on whatsapp in regards to that. Some phone numbers sent death threats(adult voices). Others asked to come in contact and "talk it out". It is sounds like pure idiocy, and it really is. At the same time as that, the account received a ban from PSN, with no clear reason. This came with the threats of continuous harassment and threats to permanently ban the account via spamming reports. Question is, what is to be done? None of the people involved are US based, mainly europe. For now what I have is phone numbers, some gmails, PSN accounts, and that's it. What I really want to do is just to stop the harassment, blocking doesn't work. I am planning to report to BIK, but other than that zero ideas. Sorry for not a well written post, english is not my first language. I am also ready to answer to questions. Thanks for any advice.

>>27411 Continuing on, I know internet death threats are meaningless. But in regards to a pre-teen, constant harassment is still pretty awful. Also the concern is with the PSN account getting derezzed permanently, losing all the spent money because you do not own the games you buy.

I'll lay out what you need to do (yes, it's obvious that you are the bullying victim here). Online bullying is lame and bullies are lame and it's surprisingly simple to get rid of them permanently and it takes under 30 minutes. 1) Get a new phone number 2) Create a new email account, give it a fake name and date of birth 3) Create a new PSN account and social media profiles 4) Do not reuse your old usernames - IMPORTANT. Use username generators. 5) Generate strong passwords with a password manager. You can use Bitwarden (cloud) or KeePassXC (local) for this. 6) Adjust your behavior (posts you like, spaces you frequent, things you say, games you play) so that it is not possible to link your old and new identity. 7) Don't use your old accounts but don't delete them either. Make it look like you just left the internet. 8) Don't post your personal information online or give your phone number to strangers again.

>>27413 Thanks, The kid is my close relative lol. 1) I think the carrier should cover that, getting a new whatsapp account is good too because some of my older stuff was linked to it. 2) Stuff like that is registered to their parents, I am going to ask them about that. 3) No social media profiles, only stuff like youtube and tiktok with no posting, so good on that front. On the topic of the PSN account I am not too sure, but will consider it, my own account got derezzed sometime ago. 5) I think they have their own password manager service, although not sure, I think it was 1password. I haven't heard about it, myself use keepassXC on a thumb drive for my own stuff. 6) The guy doesn't have that much presence online except for PSN. So it should be easy enough 7) I think I am going to claim the older accounts, keep it without activity. 8) I've been nagging their parent on that topic for so long, him too. Seems like they didn't get it. I play with the guy sometimes, so I've been concerned. Thanks for solid advice!

Tell that kid to grow a pair, soon he's going to be the one doing that.

Are the texts in blue supposed to represent the niglet talking? Is the picture supposed to depict someone feeling bad after "cyberbullying" others or a kid being cyberbullied?

>>27416 Don't know lol, probably found it on the image search for Cyber bullying

Hope it gets better! The tips in >>27413 are generally all you would need to do to I think. I can't think of anything else. >>27414 >1password If you're concerned, it'll do fine. My job use it. The app is easy to use and their policies seem solid. >I've been nagging their parent on that topic for so long, him too. Seems like they didn't get it. You did the important part of spreading awareness, at least.

>>27411 In which countries do those bullies live? Some in Europe have rather strict laws regarding that kind of stuff. An email to the police may turn into a letter to their parents' home... If just the loudest from their group receives such a letter, then the others will probably soykaf their pants.

The only valid answer: Nigga just step away from the screen like nigga close your eyes
Nguoi La · 2025-11-11 09:31
If you have any real names, dates of birth, or personal information about which school they attended, you could also threaten to leak them and destroy their lives. Those people probably have a lot of stuff buried; let others make this stuff public by writing many Insta PMs to people that may know one of the bullies. Every normal person hates people like those.

>>27413 Weed is awesome. I'm on such a good ride right now and thought up some additional tips if you want to become a very hard target for motivated skilled attackers, and bamboozle them with your schizoid attention to detail. Most people do not need this much security. 1) Read the documentation and related guides for every piece of software mentioned in this post. This process is going to take 1+ week. Be patient. 2) Install OpenWRT on your router. If your router is not compatible purchase a compatible router. 3) Install a VPN on your OpenWRT router. This is going to be your last line of defense if you mess up later steps. 4) Install Qubes OS on your computer. You need a minimum of 8-core CPU and 16GB RAM. More is always ideal. 5) Create a bunch of virtual machines on your Qubes machine. Each of these virtual machines will become an "isolated identity island". 6) Think of each virtual machine as a separate computer that share the same hardware. We will use these virtual machines to create isolated identity islands. For example: island #1: personality #1: interested in poetry, architecture, history island #2: personality #2: interested in politics, activism, social change island #3: personality #3: interested in cinematography, movies, literature island #4 and #5: anonymous: every other activity that doesn't require a login Install an operating system on each of these islands. For example: island #1: debian island #2: ubuntu island #3: fedora island #4 and #5: whonix gateway and whonix workstation 7) Install a VPN into each of these islands. Each VPN should be sourced from a different company. Whonix islands automatically route all traffic through Tor and don't need a VPN. 8) You need to create a new personality for each of these islands and follow steps 2 to 8 in my previous post. I recommend you to create a separate folder for each identity in your master KeePassXC database so you don't accidentally mess up. 9) Never use your phone number or credit card in any island. 10) Never use your logins outside of their designated islands or cross contaminate activities between islands. 11) Keep your software up to date. Check for updates at least once a week both for the Qubes host and all software installed inside islands.

>Basically a friendgroup formed on Playstation Network Haven't they got defunct in 2015? I remember I got a email they were closing.

>>27422 That's gotta be some good weed, man, what the fuarrrk
Shogun · 2025-11-16 19:34
>>27422 Based post, +1 for qubes. I'd add 1 'burner' island, have a few images available for quick provisioning that can be used to created short-term spyware accounts(reddit, instagram,x, etc.) >Most people do not need this much security. For sure, but we're entering a new age of corpo threat actors with unlimited money and gov backing. No better time to start being a ghost in the system.
Bobby Newmark · 2025-11-18 15:42
They can only contact this person through their phone/PSN. These people aren't gonna cross the ocean to throw down. Just block them and move on, they need death threats since all they have is text/audio. >>27422 is also an excellent suggestion, remember to pay for VPN with monero and add a few more personalities just to make sure.
