Public transit survaillance

Acid Burn · 2025-09-08 02:04
is there any country left in europe where I can walk onto public transit and travel without being raped by cctv and facial recognition and having to walk around with a mask and hat and sun glasses?
Trinity · 2025-09-08 06:21
Isn't there those glasses that you can buy that are able to stop these cameras for working? What if you somehow rigged infared light onto a pair of glasses in a subtle way to shine it back into cameras?

juggalo facepaint defeats facial recognition software. Just be a juggalo.
Unspecified · 2025-09-08 08:10
>>27035 whoop whoop, i guess.
HELIOS · 2025-09-08 14:40
Half of EU? czechia, poland, hibgary, tons of other countries
Spike Spiegel · 2025-09-08 22:26
>>27039 sorry mate, this is not true, been to those countries and most of the vehicles they use today are modern western vehicles from the past 15 years or so, they all have CCTV. an exception is maybe some tram lines with 40-50 years old, pre-refurbish trams, but that is a minority today, plus ofc you can't choose to travel anywhere with those, only those few line where they are used.

I don't believe they are actually fuarrrking recording(more so are a decoration), and if they are I very much doubt the underfunded public transport services contract palantir or oracle lmao. Although I am probably very wrong
Erik Johansson · 2025-09-09 05:31
>>27044 I'm 100% sure that aside from occassional malfunction, they are working. The police often drops videos of crimes happening on buses or trams, the angle of which makes it clear they are made by cctv not somebody's phone
Ein · 2025-09-09 12:59
No idea, I haven't stepped foot into public transport since 2020. Until 10-15 years ago, trains and busses were comfy. Now it's all fluorescent lights, chinese spy tech and niggers everywhere. It's a hostile and overpriced environment now.
Incognito · 2025-09-11 08:13
>>27055 Are public transports more expensive than private ones like a car in your country? It is in mine, on top of all the other inconveniences. They have to design cities to be hostiles to cars to force people to not use it. >>27044 If there is a camera, it is to record things. Now, the videos may be saved only for one day because what is the point of having the entire 10 last years of the 4 cameras in each of the 600 buses of the city? China use facial recognition to ID people and track their every movement, they have done so for years and brag about it to scare their population. Our open societies that are democracies can't do such a thing. Bragging about it, I mean. You can be sure that they do. To answer the OP I would say somewhere poor like Bulgaria or something, where the buses are form the 70's.
Lady 3Jane.. · 2025-09-12 10:08
why do you give a soykaf in the first place?
Just another Random Lainon · 2025-09-12 10:14
No. After the jihad warrior attacks on the subway systems, its pretty much impossible to avoid it. However, they can't keep the footage forever. You could try better concealing yourself, being inconspicuous, and keeping out of the CCTV's way, but you risk sticking out like a sore thumb if you do that.
SHODAN · 2025-09-13 01:57
> is there any country left in europe where I can walk onto public transit and travel without being raped should’ve stopped right there
Joey · 2025-09-14 03:32
>>27124 You're right they won't keep the tens of thousands of gigabytes of video footages forever, but ai can summarize what can be seen on the video in a few megabytes, with people identified, location and time shown, etc, so they can create a full database of "who travelled where and when"
Incognito · 2025-09-14 06:16
>>27156 Good point but I guess they'd need the footage for the AI to go through it. Evading the state is really a matter of time. I guess AI means that evading surveillance is impossible.
Guthrie · 2025-09-18 10:25
>>27158 When there is a will there is a way :)
Turner · 2025-09-18 11:34
>>27156 Yes. AI is scary to me because of its ability to work on qualia-like information as if it was just an excel spreadsheet with numbers. We don't need humans going through any of this anymore.
Turner · 2026-03-26 21:38
>>27035 doesn't work against 3DPD facial recognition, only 2D.
Turner · 2026-03-26 22:11
>>27845 What do you mean by 3dpd facial recognition? There are stereo cameras doing public video surveillance now?
Splicer · 2026-03-28 21:27
I just do not like being on camera in general. I am sure I look suspicious everywhere I go because I always lock in on the cameras watching me. >>27207 I am still waiting to see people attack data centres in self defence.
Nobody special · 2026-03-28 21:36
>>27848 lainchan is definitely a hot bed of overt domestic anti-data center activity
