are its purported security properties derived by code practice and dogma corroborated by any case study permissible as legal evidence, accessible via PACER?(USER WAS WARNED FOR THIS POST, You should always elaborate on your opinions rather than just spilling the soykaf.)

>>24761 A "case study" is distinct from a legal case, as in criminal prosecution. Using syntactically identical but semantically distinct terms gives the impression you are a chatbot, even though they could technically overlap in the context you discuss. Avoid doing this in your sentences if you are a real person.

The consensus on OpenBSD is that some of the features are unnecessary and paranoid but its security is really good even if its overkill. No idea what you mean by legal cases. Like what you mean government forcing them to give up encryption keys or whatever? That's not how things work. For what its worth, Theo the Rat was deprived of a lucrative military contract for opposing the Iraq war, unlike Mr. Durov who gives Putin the finger but lives in the UAE, a country notorious for spying and torture, so make of that what you will.

>>24764 If a feature is unnecessary wouldn't that be counter productive by increasing attack surface? Or is it just a measure based on speculation of what threat might be out there but not seen in the wild?
