Provide links if you can

IIRC most of hacking forums are all in Russian because the FSB isn't as stringent at taking down websites as the FBI / western glow-agencies. Anything in English has a high chance of being taken down or used as a honeypot
this thread had a massive torrent of Russian-language learning resources

plus russia doesnt mind hacker forums so long as theyre populated by losers who will willingly parrot pro russia propaganda online because they enjoy being edgy contrarians and/or hack for russian interests. lots of major companies that are attacked are american or associated with american commerce or other business. leakbase is one of these prorussian forums as far as i understand

it will turn into a corpo forum of people trying to make it into entry level soc analyst / pentester jobs or skids drama farming. At least the skids are fun to watch.
Nameless · 2024-05-28 10:20
There really isn't a point in sitting on forums. 99% of people are not capable of anything. Of the remaining percentage, 99% of people are doing things that aren't of interest to you. All they're good for is downloading data - the community aspect is rubbish.
Imagine you have a question that you need an answer to. You go to a forum where nubs, trolls, schoolboys and a small percentage of smart people sit. Smart people will give you an answer is unlikely, they have no time, too lazy, and in principle, burning useful information is somehow out of hand. But the rest ... Ugh. At least get wasted time and spoiled mood. At most they will feed you false information.
What to do? Less absorb unnecessary information based on useless emotions and innuendo. Make connections, join small task forces/channels/closed forums, talk to knowledgeable people. It's not a quick process, but it is very effective.

Soldierx is more than a website but with a small forum inside, pretty l33t interface and tendies but still pretty useful and full loaded with cybersecurity, hacking and *nix information. Aside this I only recommended Unix, programming and cybersecurity forums (like Bsdunited, superuser...)/blogs and technical books rather than anything that's just "hacking"-related
