What hosting & DNS providers do you lains recommend?

I'm thinking of starting an imageboard with my friend. My living situation prevents me from port forwarding and hosting the server on my own network, so I'll need to use a hosting provider. We're not going to host anything illegal on the site so I'm not too terribly bothered with anonymous registration and paying in cryptocurrency. I just want a provider who won't take us down in case our users start posting Yet Another Great Take On Current Events (tm). I was originally considering using something like Linode since they advertise a lot on Late Night Linux, but I saw that they were acquired somewhat recently by Akamai, who are just another generic corpo. I also don't imagine imageboards are all that demanding to run so I don't expect there would even be a need for the scaling offered by cloud services. We also need a DNS provider, preferably someone other than GoDaddy or some other generic corpo. Any recommendations lains?

if you don't care about anonymity then go with dreamhost or epik

For hosting, reference this thread https://lainchan.org/sec/res/21858.html#21858 . For dns, I hear good things about https://njal.la/ and freeDNS if you want to go the anonymous route. Other than that, epik is known for being pretty content neutral if you trust that they won't have another horrible data leak..
