Emergency

Paranoia has begun to set in rapidly and now I am looking to wipe of my phone and PC of my illegal actions.
I have already run CCleaner on them extensively and hid my actions with somewhat lacking OpSec (VPN, Tor, XMR, occasional VM).
I have a concern that I might be caught. I am looking to scrub my drives and footprint as best I can while retaining valuable data. My mistake was using personal devices I believe.
If anyone can help me it would be very appreciated. This all may just be me being overly concerned but you can never be too careful. I've learnt my lesson.

Bumping by taking over this thread and making this a forensics thread to spook OP Present Day, Present Time! AHAHAHAHAHA!
>Repent sinner
Software can do an alright job, but one of the number one rules of forensics is that if something happened, then it left a trace. If you stole a bunch of credit cards and downloaded cheese pizza, looks like you might find out what it means to be a girl (male).
Since it sounds like you are the big gay, I'll just leave this here https://www.lifars.com/2021/02/current-tools-and-techniques-in-digital-forensics/

Put valuable keys and info on encrypted drive with encrypted paper wallets. You’re probably just noiided. Nobody cares anymore unless you’re nation state or Russian gang

What did you do though? Did you hack somebody?

Don't use that botnet. Install Bleachbit.

I don't know what you did, but if you are that concerned that you'll be caught and punished for your illegal actions then shred your devices.

Feel like anon has really learned a lesson here

Don't be retarded.
This kind of stuff is better handled using a really good lawyer more than anything, keep this in mind.
The best you can do yourself is simply put all your valuable data in a single flash drive then hide that sixxx feet underground.
then go right ahead and shred all the drives you have and delete any accounts that implicate you.
let your lawyer handle the rest, if they have something to catch you with, you'd already be in cuffs.

Did you use your home connection? What level of adversary is after you?

I'd like to start over and have a clean state and maintain a better level of security. I've fallen into certain bad habits, whilst doing ok with other things. I generally use VPN, only use youtube front ends, but I also use an iphone and have fallen into the habit of using it to pay for things. I think the biggest threat to all security is personal laziness and our inclination towards convenience.

You remind me of myself, I've also learnt my lesson that day, I was young and they could've ruined my life.
I was already used to FOSS, anonymity and privacy measures so there wasn't much I could do. I refrained from doing any illegal things that they could somehow use against me for that time and just continued living.
It might be a good idea to start getting used to such measures right the fuarrrk now. Plus, a lot of people get caught because of things they do in the aftermath, especially at a younger age. Don't talk about it online, especially on bigger social media platforms, refrain from using them alltogether if you can.

Get a phone for AIDS and then a second one for playing back offline media/taking photos/basically like a classic iPod Touch.
