I accidentally clicked on 'go to site' with this link <link removed due to Rule 10 violation>i which was tagged with the hajime worm while using URLHaus, then i wanted to test how good my security was by downloading the worm. Chromium immediately listed the download as 'failed - virus detected'.
Given that it's a linux virus am I pwned if I use windows? Am I in the clear?

I think you're fine. Do a scan to be sure. Since it doesn't look like it forced any download (or, if it did, chromium blocked it.) or forced any script to execute anything, you're probably in the clear.
Not sure if linux targeted viruses can be used on windows. you can always look up what the virus do online.

The site might recognize that you accessed it from Windoze computer and it could try to install Windows malware or use a different browser exploit instead. Next time use Ublock Origin to block JS and whitelist JabbaShit on per site basis.

As long as you didn't execute any files, and assuming the browser doesn't have any serious exploits, you should be fine.

You should never enable javascript under any circumstances on websites. Javascript is by far the most threatening web element, this thread exemplifies one of the many reasons for javascript being pure evil alongside its application in browser fingerprinting and cross site tracking. Browser addons can function quite nicely in blocking unwanted web elements such as javascript but they are not completely reliable, you should disable javascript in your browser's configuration or better yet completely disable javascript by editing some of your browser's files which is typically a short, rudimentary process.

Your OS is in your User Agent String, so every website DEFINITELY knows what OS you're using unless you specifically have gone out of your way to change your UAS.
