Feeling stuck on problems, reading write-ups for CTFs, and guilt.

Newbie hacker here. Been working on a lengthy CTF so far, but I struggle pretty hard with understanding and performing RSA attacks (I'm also inept on what tools to use). So for certain sections I'll read write-ups to help me along. Personally, though I think it's fine to read write-ups, especially when you've spent days or weeks agonizing over a problem, I still feel quite guilty whenever I end up searching one up. I feel as if I could've done better, and it feels a little bit like cheating. Though, at the end of my guilt trip, I tell myself I'm doing this to learn and that as long as the write-up taught me what I was missing, then I'm going on alright. How about you Lain? Do you read write-ups for CTFs? Why or why not? Do you also feel guilty? What advice would you give to hackers when they're stuck on a segment of a wargame? Or when they're stuck on a problem in general.

I read write-ups all the time, you will always be reading blogs so I never see it as a bad thing. you will be constantly learning especially early on. As long as you learned and put it into your notes you should never feel guilty for needing help.
