The Pirate's Code:
>Take what you can, and give none back. The ancient articles hold true, lad.
>>Don't pay for any kind of digital content whatsoever. Only use account sharing/cracked accounts when/if streaming. Particular emphasis on hacking, cracking, and pirating DRM-controlled content.
>>Block ALL advertisements possible. Support nothing which uses advertisement. Drink the tears of those who cry about it.
>>Collect as much data as you can onto your disks, such as music, movies, games, etc. The Jew fears the data hoarder.
>Remember, civilization is afraid of you because you're a pirate
>>You pose a threat to their internet order, so you should use a VPN or TOR, or a privacy torrent solution like Tribler
>>Public WiFi owners shake in fear from you, so they built systems to stop you
>>A good pirate can't really be stopped, so long as there are enough of us
>>Beware of shallow reefs (IP-logging torrents) and other dastardly tricks from our gay enemies: Tyrone the glownigger and Schlomo the corporate lawyer
>Seed, ye scurvy dog
>>Pirates are stronger together
>>Seeding keeps the dream alive
>Check game installers and other executables for malware
>>Sandbox suspected malware in a VM
>>Use Ghidra to reverse it
>Yarrrr, I hate [SOME COMPANY] specifically, but I use their services
>>find a way to fuarrrk them over by abusing their services
>>Use yt-dlp, Vanced, DNS adblockers, Magisk, and the Aurora store to ass-fuarrrk the Google wench
>>Do not sign into any account on any Microsoft Product
>>Don't buy Apple
>>Anytime you do sign up for an account, be sure to use throwaway credentials they can't sell

Ahoy me mateys, where is the best place a lad can plunder Visual Studio? Be there a way to break it to use Visual Studio without a microsoft account, me mateys?

If you need it for school or work they will get a license for you. If you want it for personal use ... you're better off learning an open source editor/IDE that will always be available instead of voluntarily chaining yourself to the botnet.

I just want to develop C++ code for Windows, and develop Python code on Windows

I used to be into privacy, I had an XP VM with Autocad, Maya, CS 3. Burned all of it ultimately, and got into open source stuff, and it has vastly improved my life.

I tried going all FOSS. I must say, I do prefer it. The only (main) reason I even see to use Windows is for games. Windows is insecure and it's spyware. Although, there is a lainthread on this board about how Linux can be even easier to hack than Windows. I digress.
>What are the uses of an XP VM?
Perhaps AutoCAD and Solidworks and all that other stuff is cool. For me, I am forced to use non-FOSS when I want to connect my computer to a car. The software for interaction with on-board vehicle systems requires XP if the vehicle is old like mine. It no longer works with modern versions of windows, either. AND the software has to be pirated. However, it saved me the need to buy a $5,000 scanner tool. All I need is a USB->OBD2 cable

you don't even NEED visual studio for that. just use an open-source IDE as anon said.

Thank you. I regret making this thread though. This has little to do with piracy, and it feels like this thread really doesn't belong on this board. Piracy is certainly a useful tool for a security professional, but perhaps it's too broad to discuss here
