Currently making a cybersecurity link aggregator
Donna Hawthorne · 2021-08-28 00:59
Post links you've kept/resources you think are useful. I'm going to make a site that compiles all of these into one list. Here's my progress so far from the dead 4ch/sec/ threads and lainchan. https://mega.nz/file/dsBEXJYT#kkE2oPweCrDEwBjIxxlYvDRy7ye6Byd5lKUJoZ_0SOU
If anyone would like to make a pastebin, feel free to. I honestly just want new users to stop wasting their time browsing archives when they could just look at one site and that was the end of it.
Bonus: As an incentive, here's a magnet to 160GB of SANS Cybersecurity Courses. Hoard and seed, folks. This is from Rutracker.

ty lain. I hope this is no trick - I am already paranoid.

If it is just links, why is the archive nearly 5 megs large? What is it, if not text files?
Ender · 2021-08-31 17:17
the sans stuff you posted is pretty useless without the labs for hands on experience imo, the labs are out there if you look hard enough.
also you can just not bother downloading the videos if you ask me, all they do is go over whatever is written in the books they provide in the course, but most of it is rambling you don't need to sit through.
the books are excellent tho paired with the labs, but overall i wouldn't bother with the vids personally.
also why is the mega link 5mb? kinda sus

Thanks lainon, I was looking for the SANS materiel this def helped a lot.
It true that the labs are necessary, but for free stuff I would argue that this is good enough. At least you will learn useful stuff and get a roadmap on every topic out there and this is a good starting point.
You can later google anything you need on the way

OP here. Besides links, there are also some news and tutorials in txt form that some other lainon compiled.
Some other anon just made a temp site, so you dont need to download from Mega anymore if you wanted to.

Kek. It contains a file called "100 million most popular passwords" which is 9.5MB uncompressed. I would instead recommend linking to https://github.com/danielmiessler/SecLists which is more useful.
Also hackthebox.eu and academy.hackthebox.eu could be added to the training section.
Storing this on github / gitlab would let people submit pull requests to help keep it up to date.

Very nice, working on a wiki here. Idea is to now aggregate a lot of the information along with the links.

Were you also able to rescue the other archives (such as CollectiveComputers) before the hammer came down? After the incident it seems everything was wiped.

I have a bunch of text file resources for this sort of thing, just no easy way to share them.
I do not like signing up to things like dropbox so I prefer using those short lived sites where you up load files and get a link to them.
Here is everything I have on Cybersecurity:

Can I read something in parallel while I watch this playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLG49S3nxzAnmpdmX7RoTOyuNJQAb-r-gd? It is linked in the first link in the file "cybsec links.txt." It has a fuarrrkton of videos and I want to learn more while I am tired of watching the playlist.

Also, how to apply what I am learning?

Use a VM (make sure it doesn't have internet connection) OR disconnect your internet access and use real computers (set up 1 computer as a victim machine and use a Kali/Parrot LiveUSB)

I mean what I am learning in the playlist.
