The end of privacy

So we're finally reaching Orwellian levels of restriction in our every day life and it's just complicating everything. I use a vpn for everything I do because I'm tired of changing passwords and emails from getting my credentials stolen time and time again. The problem is that VPN's seem to be derezzed everywhere. I'm currenlty using NORD VPN and I was just trying to post on some forums, facebook, and even make an account on xh and xv (18+ sites, you know which ones I'm talking about) and I can't do anything because you guessed it, VPN. Is there any way I can circumvent this without having to disconnect my VPN? I was thinking of using new proxies over my VPN but they maybe blacklisted too.

>>16601 make your own vpn with a vps and use it as your exit point? then you only have to deal with past IP reputation and the whole vps IP block getting derezzed. changing providers is not too difficult but can cost a months worth of rent depending on terms.

>>16601 > I do because I'm tired of changing passwords and emails from getting my credentials stolen time and time again A VPN won't help with that OP. We're not in 1990~2000 anymore, just about every site uses transport security such that compromise happens mostly by means which you can't do anything about (server-side).

>I was thinking of using new proxies over my VPN but they maybe blacklisted too. ...yes, what do you think spammers and carders use? clean proxies from datacenters or residential proxies (which are more expensive for obvious reasons but they are more reliable since they tend to bypass asn blacklists).

If they blacklist vpn, the best thing you can really do is ether grab the freshest vpn of a site or make your own vps with squid

>>16601 >I use a vpn for everything I do because I'm tired of changing passwords and emails from getting my credentials stolen time and time again. The problem is that VPN's seem to be derezzed everywhere. How often are your creds getting stolen by local mitm attacks? Can't imagine it's often unless you're on insecure wifi a lot and even then, ssl is on most sites now. Might want to try the HTTPS Everywhere plugin to help prevent ssl stripping. Don't get me wrong, a VPN is useful but your credentials are more likely getting stolen via malware or database dumps from hacked services.

>getting my credentials stolen It's probably not because of an attack that happened while your password was being sent over to whichever service you were signing up on, OP. Most websites that you can sign up on have TLS nowadays, especially with free certificates from Let's Encrypt being a thing. Database breaches happen much more often nowadays, and while I'd like to think all services store passwords properly nowadays, it doesn't seem to be the case. There isn't much you can do about that, but you can limit how much damage a specific breach causes - use a different, strong password everywhere. I appreciate those passwords aren't going to be very easy to remember, and so I'd recommend using a password manager for storing them. Be it a simple one in your browser, or an open source one you run yourself. I wouldn't recommend LastPass and others too much, but they're not a *horrible* choice either. Also, a personal recommendation: If you're really concerned about anonymity, use Tor / I2P, not a VPN. Regardless of their no-log claims, you have to trust the provider to some extent. In contrast, Tor and I2P require little to no trust, are decentralized, and are run mostly by volunteers.

>>17817 Though Tor is much slower compared to a regular VPN, it's usually in the 700KiB/s - 2MiB/s range when talking to servers outside its network (ones without .onion). Sorry, forgot to mention that.
Crash Override · 2021-10-31 23:04
Just going to pull this out of my ass but if there is a way to exclusively use IPv6 I think there is a much better chance the VPN wont be blocked.

Learn how to find mobile or residential proxies, you filthy pedestrians. Yes, connect to them through Tor. No, Facebook won't ban you because it would have to ban 100 000 of it's own users on same IP range.

>>16602 and how the fuarrrk do you do that? i have had a clean Linode IP for months, checked it against tons of blacklists, not once mentioned, yet still get fuarrrked by captchas and forums blocking it, i just don't know where the fuarrrk these guys get their blacklists from. could it be because i have a mail.* ptr record for it? should i remove every fuarrrking record pointing to that ip for them not to think that it's some website server that got compromised? or do they check it agains IANA ranges and figure out that it's linode datacenter =/= user-grade isp so they drop by that too?

>>18387 >do they check it agains IANA ranges and figure out that it's linode datacenter =/= user-grade isp so they drop by that too? More than likely, yes. I've seen plenty of blacklists that include VPC providers, save for certain Azure/AWS services.

>>16601 Calling where we are now Orwellian tells me you've never read Orwell. If we were living in an Orwellian dictatorship, this thread wouldn't exist. North Korea's Orwellian. Afghanistan is Orwellian. Nowhere in the West is that far gone. We're much closer to F451, and even then we're not there yet.>>16601
