I currently work in an easy analyst position for $65k and I have an offer to work a SOC-like position for $85k, but it will be a couple more hours a week and probably faster-paced. Worth it? I always heard that SOC is an entry level thing, but I started as an analyst so I don't know if this would be a step backwards for a temporary pay hike.

Eh what are you asking?
If you are unsure if its worth the extra cash, just go ahead and try, you can quit and put it the experience on your resume, if not even for the experience itself.
85k for soc doesnt sound like beginner level to me, nor do i think a system on a chip thing is something to be taken lightly.
