I used to dick around in HackForums doing a ton of blackhat stuff, used to even make some pretty good money. Around the time HF went to soykaf I stopped hacking at all because it felt like the scene was basically completely dead.
Now I have to admit, I missed those days. It was fun as fuarrrk and I was good at it. Is the scene dead? Are there any hacking groups like there used to be? What do things look like now?

teens circle jerking in discord servers, arguing about who is "known" and who isn't. i moved on to vx scene but would love to go back to blackhat. raidforums, ogusers, nulled, all soykaf. seems like the real hackers are all in some niche like game hacking or something now or they "grew up" (sold out) and went on to be wagies

The next generation is exploiting Etherium smart contracts and soykaf like that, that’s where the money is

Where can I read about that soykaf? Never heard of it.

Sounds like they've already lost. And yeah, all that skid soykaf is really fun, but only if there are guys who know their soykaf too. Sounds like that soykaf is dead.

there are hacker tournaments for youth (well precov, no idea about now) Industry/gov is investing a lot and economic warfare through cybercrime becomes increasingly important. I do worry about private branch dying when old guys die out but maybe im just projecting my own laziness.
Also crypto aint hacking. Its blackhat seo at best to pump meme coins unless you wanna count website miners & pishing.

>blockchain attacks aren't hacking
Taking a system and finding oddities, quirks, and vulnerabilities is - by nature - the principal definition of hacking.
I agree that pump and dumps for the 1029381029813rd dog erc20 tokens is not hacking.

Was there anything like that except the ether exploit which however was code running on it and not ether itself? The only good blockchain attack im aware if is fake key generators who limited the keyspace to a smaller subset so the attacker could guess and take all the money of anyone who used their keygen.

blockchain hacking is cool. but it's more fun to RAT someone like the old days and pilfer their wallet. pirate soykaf
