have you ever thrown a crypto-party lainon? or been to one?
0. What util/tool do you rely most for everyday crypto needs? (encrypting, backing up, signing emails, key management)
1. What do you mostly use crypto for?
2. What percent of people in your social/peer group use crypto to communicate? (e2e clients count)
3. Have you gotten your keys signed?
4. How have you automated your backup encryption?
-------
I'll go first:
0. gpg (although it's not serving me well. symmetrically encrypted files don't open on other machines. isn't convenient for managing incremental encryption. only very few people i know use it)
1. encrypting local disk with personal files and e2e client element/matrix
2. only one other person who likely uses it seriously
3. no
4. not yet but considering using dm_Crypt+LUKS.
Q. any suggestions on how to make life more crypto-friendly? for me and others?

2. 0%
3. No
4. Not yet, I plan to encrypt a separate harddisk for that and for keeping some file secure, with LUKS like you.

0. I just use Tails OS on a usb stick, keep my bridges and a txt file keyring on a separate, LUKS encrypted usb drive.
1. Just browsing imageboards and wikipedia
2. 0%
3. No
4. I... just have my backup keys buried in a tin can under a tree. The scanning drone on Blade Runner 2049 has me rethinking this strategy.

Buying things with Monero is like asking somebody to do your work for free.

>like asking somebody to do your work for free
Why is that?

You're basically asking the end recipient to accept your own economical sentiment that has no value in it. Choosing beggars I must say so.

You're paying with something that can immediately be used as a currency to buy other things, including cash. How does that have no value? If they don't want to deal with exchange they can simply not accept monero, and you can buy from someone else who does accept monero. As for
>asking somebody to do your work for free
you're not, you're literally paying them. The work involved in dealing with crypto will be factored into the price.
