This is the thread for everything related to password attacks, hashes, tools and hardware for cracking.
Anyone here running a satisfactory setup? blogpost about them, what are your tips on building?
Any good resources on wordlist creation?

For WPA, I have been experimenting with ProblWL-v2-Real-WPA-Passwords , a 1.8 Billion item list. So far , I have actually had little luck.

Most routers have default passwords with patterns you can brute force in a few days to a few weeks with a single good graphics card.

Watch out though because a few weeks of cracking might land you with a bigger electricity bill than the hardware you bought.

I call local ISPs and grill them for how their default passwords are formatted. Then I throw some GPUs at them, and voila, free internet.

Small tip for wpa
Always put the the most common digit passwords aside first
Then go through the entirety of (yourcountry)'s phone numbers (usually it's 8, 9 or 10 digit length
Then the default router keyspace
Thede keyspaces make up to the overwhelming majority of passwords, so dont waste your time with huge wpa wordlists and start making a custom list based on taegets
A little anecdote, if it's an android tether or one of those shoddy 4g boxes, the password is almost always 8 digits

I just use a decent GPU and hashcat, has done more than plenty for me.
