BTC into IRL

# · 2020-04-28 21:47
Is it possible to convert my bitcoin into real currency without being identified? I heard about bitcoin mixers but they take about 15% and I suppose you still can be tracked even after big branches of mixing. What /sec/ anon thinks about it? What mixer is the best choice. And is there any other way to withdraw BTC?

Mixers aren't fiat exchanges, Look into decentralized exchanges like Bisq for actually converting into fiat without KYC. If you also need to remove identity, trade them for XMR first and then send the XMR to yourself to anonymize it, more reliable than mixing.

>>10815 So after converting BTC to XMR nobody will know where I got money? Looks good, thanks.

sell to some guy on the street who wants to buy BTC or via bisq i guess

How much you are about to sell? If we are talking about fairly small amounts you could just sell them at p2p exchange. If you do have large amounts, good luck proving that your funds aren't from illicit activity.

Coordinated by Europol and conducted by the Spanish Guardia Civil with the support of the Finnish authorities and the US Homeland Security Investigations, the operation resulted in 11 arrests and 137 investigations of individuals. Members of a crime ring used credit cards and virtual currencies to launder money that other OCGs made by selling drugs. The criminals based in Spain picked up the illicit proceeds in cash, which was then split into small quantities to be deposited into hundreds of third-party bank accounts (a criminal method known as smurfing). As the cash was already circulating in the financial system, the ring just needed to transfer the criminal money back to the drug dealers in Colombia. The investigation revealed that the criminals acquired credit cards linked to the bank accounts in which criminal proceeds were deposited. Certain criminals then travelled to Colombia with credit cards and made several cash withdrawals from the bank accounts. Once the criminals realised that cash withdrawals and bank operations were easy to track, they changed their laundering methods and turned to virtual currencies, mainly bitcoin. The criminals used a bitcoin exchange based in Finland to convert their illicit proceeds into bitcoin, then change it into Colombian pesos and deposit it in Colombian bank accounts on the same day. The authorities in Finland gathered all the information on the suspects held by the cryptocurrency exchange. As a result of the operation the Spanish Guardia Civil carried out eight searches and seized several computers, devices and the equipment used to commit the crimes, such as money bags or money-counting machines. The suspects had deposited more than EUR 8 million in cash using 174 bank accounts. ... since lbtc went down to forced KYC because of this check out https://localcryptos.com/

Simple, but tedious. Essentially you'll want to turn your BTC into XMR and then either sell XMR or BTC through untraceable means. First, turn your BTC into XMR. Use tails or qubes whonix. Use this script: http://dreadytofatroptsdj6io7l3xptbet6onoyno2yv7jicoxknyazubrad.onion/d/Monero/wiki?id=c8d51254 Now you have your funds in XMR. Next, choose which coin you want to sell, it even could be both. If you chose BTC, then convert your XMR to BTC (sending it to a different BTC wallet than the original of course). If you're selling XMR, choose to sell on LocalMonero http://localmonerogt7be.onion/ . I *highly* suggest you sell XMR rather than BTC as it is harder to track. Make a new wallet exclusively for selling, then move all of your XMR to that wallet. The most anonymous way for you to sell XMR is by doing cash by mail offers sent to a PO box in your name. This way the risk of theft is shifted to the postal system, so porch thieves are nonexistent, and you don't have to disclose your address to your buyers. Alternatively, you could send your cash orders to a drop, but considering that mailing cash isn't illegal you could skip this step. If you're selling BTC, you'll need to do the same but on LocalBitcoins. LocalBitcoins requires sellers to have verified information, which is more privacy encroaching, which is why selling XMR is preferred. Selling your crypto for cash is probably the best way to produce untaxable income

Ugh, bitcoin is inherently designed to be tracked. Does nobody else think it's extremely suspicious that the founders of this are unknown/possibly entirely fictional? Like I feel that this is probably some big NSA buttfuсk just like most supposedly anonymizing bullshit software these days. Want to be truly safe? Just treat it like any other money. Set up a classic money laundering operation. Make a phoney webshop where you sell some service that's difficult to verify/confidential in some way. Maybe you do private ASMR sessions for weird old perverts. Or you jack off on webcam for slightly different old perverts. I don't know. Just find some way to make it plausible that you earned that money and remember to pay your taxes. That's the real way to be safe in any kind of shady wheeling and dealing.

Blockchain hopping. Cross crypto transactions are hard to trace, especially if you add on top of it some crypto that hides your transactions. For example: >BTC for Monero transactions Guy gets btc on his wallet and you get monero on your monero wallet. You then transfer that monero back to BTC. Since monero transactions are untracable that means your blockchain hopping is untracable. You lose a bit of money this way, but you're much safer. Good luck my fellow wrong doer

>>10896 There are some zero days and holes in Monero from not too terribly long ago that might suggest it isn't as secure as advertised, but it's certainly a lot more opaque than bitcoin. Just be wary. If you're just buying nose clams on the DNM and generally being a small-time user, I doubt anybody is gonna care. But if you do something that truly attracts interest from authorities then I would always bet that there's an agency out there sitting on top of another Monero zero day. I've seen unmaskings in the past, and while I think it would probably be possible to develop it into something very secure and robust, my guess is that hasn't quite happened yet. It's FUD, but fear and doubt exist in our minds for very good reason given certain... situations. This might be one of them, that's your own judgement to make. But again, it's probably still good enough. I trust you lot aren't doing anything truly gruesome, probably just getting yourselves some nice cozy psychedelics. Happy travels.

rather than use monero when buying your nuclear missiles i recommend using zksnarks that are available in eg. ethereum, but afaik there isnt any readymade app for using them so you will have to do a bit of coding yourself.

>>10895 Leaving aside the legal consequences if you do get caught, which won't be pleasant, this has another far simpler issue: That requires an initial setup cost few will be willing or able to afford anyway.

bruh, dont risk it trade into XMR or WOW(nero), and then back into the currency of your choice.

>>10989 You can replace the phony webshop with anything hard to trace, maybe you took some monster commissions for your soykafty art, maybe you programmed some soykafty private bit of software for someone, just anything that allows basic laundering.

>>10814 Criminals were washing illegal funds by buying property with bitcoin- buy a boat and resell it for cash money You could cash out your legal earning in the same way. I still think it is funny how everyone bough memecoin and "earned" crazy return on investment only to realize getting actual money for it is fairly difficult. With marketplaces that sell TVs, phones, and electronics for bitcoin, you could buy 35 IPods and resell them for cash or something like that, though it requires a lot of work.
