https://www.cybereason.com/blog/targetingedge-mac-os-x-pirrit-malware-adware-still-active >Researcher was searching threw adware for OSX system and found several techniques used by malware to serve ads on pc's >Megacorp tries to sue for being caught red handed > 28 antivirus software products of Virustotal even says it's malware What does Lain think? Why does law enforcement glace over adware, but go after security researchers?

Or Towers Building B, 6th Floor, 4 Hanehoshet Street, Ramat Hahayal >Download Valley >Many of the companies are located in Tel Aviv and the surrounding region Wow, what a coincidence. Why do all scammers, showe/mal/adware companies are located in one particular desert land dedicated by G-d to his own people, hmmmm?

>>3399 >Why does law enforcement glace over adware, but go after security researchers? The difference of opinion here is that Megacorp wants to make money and white hats with their pesky "morals" and soykaf want to let the world know that these business practices are against the public interest. Money usually wins over public interest.

>>3399 I didn't read the whole thing but I don't see anything about law enforcement. It's just a civil suit isn't it? You can sue anyone for any reason you want, it doesn't mean anything. Actually winning the case does.

>>3402 >no arguments As expected
Crazy Jake · 2017-12-14 20:54
>>3405 Arguing with people who have consistently shown they have no interest in arguing in good faith is completely pointless. Go away.
fsociety · 2017-12-14 22:51
>>3406 The argument is simple: Show at least one adware company not located in Israel.

>>3407 http://www.spywareguide.com/creator_list_full.php a majority of them are in the US but, that doesn't contort to your world view that the jews are trying to take over the world does it?

>>3408 sorry wrong list, this is the adware one. https://www.ventureradar.com/keyword/Adware

>>3406 The guy you were replying to is at least putting forward a theory to answer OP's question However lame the theory is, it's at least contributing to the discussion and perhaps it's you that needs to "go away" from this thread for the off-topic-posting >>3399 My guess is it's something to do with adware/malware generally contributing to society's sense of helplessness "we need the government and Google to protect us from evil hackers" And it's not so much "law enforcement going after" as it is Megacorp suing

>>3401 >Wow, what a coincidence >hmmmm? Please don't act snarky on Lainchan. Every noteworthy country has a cyberwarfare strategy these days. Western powers are mostly interested in espionage and datamining. It's a given that the IDF has access to the data this malware collects or in the very least knows how to exploit the vulnerabilities it may create in the systems it affects. That's the reason these companies can operate in the open: they are strategic to the powers that be.

>>3410 >The guy you were replying to is at least putting forward a theory to answer OP's question Except he wasn't, all he did was blame jews, the retort was made by >>3409, >>3407 was completely ignored. Even >>3413 didn't make an argument! He just replaced jews with muslims and off topic post. saying hurr durr joos, isn't a good faith argument, it's brewing soykaf.

This thread is locked for quality reasons. It was dubious to begin with, considering the simple opening post. It is being considered that a general thread for this manner of topic be created, in order to help combat small threads about passing vulnerabilities and discoveries and whatnot.
