TL;DR: Admin added a mod nobody knew, mod was a dick, people got pissed, other people with other problems joined the confusion, these people started defacing/spamming the forum, irc got taken down, in the process of backing everything up the admin gave up on the website altogether.
Lack of organization, basically. Weird administrative decisions too (at the end the admin added a paywall to create an account, for example).

Old logins still works, if you have one you can log in and tell Andre it's ok to fuarrrkup some times. Other than that, loggin in doesn't do anything, he updated with some explanations though.
