So /sec/, whats a good way to learn game hacking?
Y.T · 2017-06-19 16:44
What exactly do you mean by game hacking. It could be literally anything from modifying memory values with CheatEngine to pick an axe and cut a game disc in half.

So, I've been recommended by a friend who makes cheats for games to join him in "game hacking" and introduced me to unknowncheats.me, so I guess making cheats and stuff

>>1106 As >>1107 said, it depends what you mean by game hacking 1. Decide what you want to do (do you want to memory hack games and make cheat codes ? do you want to make bots for games ? Do want to mod / modify games in order to have additional functionality or graphical changes ? Do you want to attempt to rewrite entire game as open source and have the option of using the original game assets ?) 2. See the resources below and also search for your additional sets of resources. 3. Learn all the things 4. ?????? 5. PROFIT!!!! See attached PDFs (one is for making autonomous bots in Online games, the other is for console video game hacking), See http://gamehacking.org/ , https://www.reddit.com/r/REGames/ and other general reverse engineering resources in other threads on lainchan. See https://github.com/cheat-engine/cheat-engine for Windows and https://github.com/scanmem/scanmem and https://github.com/korcankaraokcu/PINCE and https://github.com/eteran/edb-debugger for Linux for some but not all suggested tools. >>3129 I think anon might have intended to do what would be better served by stickying this or, more reasonably, reposting to the existent sticky threat.
