Are there any serial shoplifters in the house? Big, small, food, clothes, for you or for $$$, let's gather and discuss our dirty thievery. Talk about >Your favorite things to lift >Methodology >Interactions with LP >Recent hauls >Why you're so evil for taking money away from massive corporations

Place strawberries or other expensive produce on the self checkout weigh the produce on the scale but accidentally select cheap potatoes as item. meh, it was an honest mistake, pay what the dumb machine says. If you don't create a demand for Computer Vision then the field will never progress.

- I lift pretty much anything I need and/or want - Walk though self checkout, slice tags, magnets - Just fuarrrkin' run, why would you stay, frag-face? - Like I'll tell you choomba. - fuarrrk corpos. They already pay people working there minimum wage. Theft and loss is already overseen in budget.

>>8987 I used to work in walmart as an inventory manager. I used to do this with this expensive fruit my girlfriend liked. I would set the price in the system to like pennies a carton and wait until someone complained which was usually a week or so later. Just claimed it was a off by one error. .69 cents instead of 6.99 etc etc. Was never a big deal. If you are interested in some actually good techniques don't ask people in a thread like this, google around. In a lot of America shoplifting with 'tools' which can be as simple as altering clothing to have extra pockets is a felony, so people probably won't discuss it openly.

My nerves are too frazzled to do it these days. Besides, technology has changed since I was a young Lain. More cameras, sensors, there's even more human guards. None of the scams I knew even exist anymore because the technology is so different. One that might still help is to go into a store as a group and have one member be the distraction. Act like you're really drunk or crazy and like you're thinking about robbing them or at least likely to fall into a display. Have your friends enter separately and later, like you don't know each other. While the staff is hassling or at least watching you, your friends rob them blind. Also we all used to get jobs at different useful places so we could help each other out. There were hand signals used by the insider which told a hopeful pirate "the coast is clear" or "this is not a good time". But that's getting into long term strategy there.

>>9014 Antidisestablishmentarianism is frowned upon here. Nah, I just wanted to use that word once in my life (and now, to spell "juxtapositioner" in Scrabble and win cumulative triple word scores with those high point tiles).
