Hi lainons. I'm a complete noob to the deep web and to TOR. Recently I gained a bit of interest in dipping my feet into the deep web, but I'm sorta stuck. I went into the infamous hidden wiki to search for sites, but barely any of them work! The ones that did work were typical drug stores, gun stores, ect. I'm not really interested in any of that. What I had in mind was finding some forums or some imageboards or just something of that nature but on the deep web. I haven't tried all of the forum links on the hidden wiki, but I tried a handful of them and none of them worked! It always loads for like a good 5 minutes just to give me a connection error. I'm not sure if I've just been unfortunate enough to not find working forums or if I'm doing something wrong on my end that doesn't allow me to access them? Like maybe I have my settings wrong on something that doesn't let me access certain websites? As you can tell, I'm really new to this, which is why I'm asking you guys for your help! Could anyone here give me links to deep web forums that you know for a fact they work? Thanks in advance.

Can't give exact links, but I used to pretty much only use onion sites a few years ago.
I used to be a regular on Torchan way back around like 2010. Really great community back then, we had a lot of regular trip users that made great conversation. I visited it about a year ago and it definitely wasn't the same though, lots of people looking for CP or hackers for hire. Might be different now though, I don't have the link but the old domain was something beginning with zw3crg. Last I checked it had a login and user, I think they're both just torchan or torchan2 or something
The cafe at the end of the internet was another one I loved, had a really chill vibe and some good discussion about anything and everything. I'm not sure if it's still around though, haven't been in forever.
HackBB was another great forum but I'm pretty sure they got shut down during one of the Freedom Hosting raids. If its around I highly recommend checking it out, a lot of great info and a good community.
I really hope these are still around, sorry I couldn't give any links but with raids the links change too much to keep track of over the years. I think Tor is definitely on its last leg in terms of community, you might be able to find something on i2p or freenet that's more what you're looking for.

Tor not TOR. darkweb not deepweb.

I think the login was just to keep googlebot and other crawlers out. Don't know if you were around then but Torchan got hacked around 2012/2013. All pages redirected to a picture of rainbowdash with a monocle saying pwned like a sir or some soykaf for a while. After a few months someone tried to resurrect it but the community had already dispersed. Torchan was awesome back in the day though.

Really wish I had an archive of this. Optimus crime was cool. He was like, nobody invited me to their secret circlejrk hacker communities so I made a public one. And he did a fuarrrking good job of it.
>I think Tor is definitely on its last leg in terms of community,
I think the freedomhosting bust fuarrrked everything up. Everyone always said the pedos are the canaries. Once pedos start getting arrested we know Tor has gone too mainstream. Then all of FH went down followed by silkroad a bit later.

The issue is that with each major take down (which includes FH), it iterates the cycle of trying to stay ahead of LEA or w/e requires anonymity. With new updates to Tor, the HSDir leaks and other issues are being patched up. So communities become rather insular. Basically, you're just not invited.
