What is a loveless life worth living for? Guess i'll whine a little and go back to being a stoic since it's fully useless to cry as a man
But maybe one day i'll have my cool loving hunk boy/husband
Still can't decide if i want a femboy/twink though... i want to feel safe and protected in someone's arms (daddy issues?)

Meanwhile I am a 30khhv who have just realised a proper root of my misfortunes: my parents would push 2 conflicting worldviews on me without regarding who I really want to be. So I bakame a warehouse no-one.
The way my mommy lived was not too good albeit liveable. The problem is, my sometimes-swinging-in father refused to support me in terms of education, pocket money or tools. Instead, he would focus on metropolitan-styled clothes, fancy sweets and businessmen biographies/pop-sci books/pop-sci mags - something i would have easily lived without, given how large the clothes bin of the local church was.
Also, a tech gift that was awfully flashy too, unfit for serious work (overheats to death if used seriously).
Oh and if I said a word about daddy's gifts, he would be unpleasantly mad.
As result, i looked so tacky and flashy for the locals I was easily the OPpic of my era.

Don't confuse what you want with what you really want. These are all just desires. Being fulfilled doesn't happen by wanting or even getting, but by contentment.
"The glutton is never satisfied with food, and the greedy is never satisfied with money."
We think getting what we want will make us happy, but it's a trap lainon. The solution is loving your mom/siblings/friends/whoever you have, not sex or even romance, no matter how fun it might be. That's why people have more than one partner in their life: if getting what they wanted made them happy, they'd only have one partner
Aristóteles Amadópulus · 2026-09-12 08:05
Not a big thing I want to whinge about, just something I've thought about for a couple of years.
I was a loser in high school, was into anime for a while but eventually stopped because I was disappointed by a lot of anime, I found manga and visual novels had more interesting things going on.
At this time anime was something only losers were interested in. Today it feels like everyone my age is some anime fan or at the very least thinks it's not necessarily for losers. Often people want to know have you watched one piece? do you like dragon ball? what is your favourite anime?
Nothing about anime changed, so what the hell guys?
Similar thing with artificial intelligence. I though machine learning was super cool when I was a teen and learned a bit about it, nobody else cared much. Nowdays nobody will shut up about AI (read: public LLM products) and I have to talk with these people who for all their obsession, seemingly know less about AI than I did when I was 15.
Both of these annoy me in kind of different ways. The first one because my loser status really kept me down and now the whole reasoning for that is nullified, and the latter is like a mosquito that won't go away.
There is a good takeaway from all this though. The masses are fickle, and have no real judgment values when it comes to anything, therefore we should never let mass opinion influence how we feel about our own interests. Like with speedrunning, though I don't really get it I know a majority of people still would judge this as the pursuit of stinky fat basement rats, but that judgment is totally shallow. It comes from this weak idea of what is a "worthwhile" pursuit that falls because at bottom, there is very little that is objectively worthwhile in this world. Speedrunning is an infinitely more impressive pursuit than being a television slob, which has been arbitrarily chosen as acceptable behavior because it's convenient for people to feel justified in being television slobs.

And how would that help? Borders are closed for conscription aged men, it doesn't matter if you're married to someone from another country. The only marriage related trick I know of is marrying disabled women that needs to be taken care of, but it's strictly regulated. Not impossible though, just hard to find someone with that heavy diagnosis and willing to collaborate.

The border is very large, if you go in the right place, you can just walk across, anyway you could earlier in the war and I doubt it has changed. Not that there's no risk, but there's plenty of risk in sticking around.
Just another Random Lainon · 2026-09-12 10:15

I've been considering that for years. It's problematic for many reasons, including the fact the Europe genuinely wants to deport all conscription aged ukrainian men to war and is currently seeking mechanisms to do so. Poland deports anyone crossing border illegaly from the very start, Romania doesn't but it can change any moment now. Getting to the border is very risky because of all the blockposts, but if I'm to risk going through blockposts I'd rather use this opportunity to get to safer area in countryside that never gets bombed much closer to me than border and try to wait there. This is something I'll very likely have to do sooner or later.

Probably. Theoretically it might be possible to reform army to do super advanced fully robotized warfare of future straight from sci-fi, but even US isn't currently at that level, hard to expect something like that from corrupt soykafhole like Ukraine.

> Defending your country is evil
It is evil when I would personally choose to surrender and accept consequences because I don't consider it worthy to die for, but I'm still not allowed to have this choice and forced to fight.
Let's see what options I would have if there was a choice:
> surrender, great chances that you will be asked to get russian passport or leave the country, I would happily pick the second option, even if it's mandatory to get russian passport you will still most likely be able to leave the country

That's not really correct to say that, because when conscription was voluntary and Zelensky promised it will never become forced because "we're not such country, we're not like Russia" I was in fact rooting for Ukraine. These times ended few years ago. I admit that was very naive of me to believe in "democracy" and all that bullshit promised by Zelensky, EU, etc. Currently I'm not even rooting for Ukraine. Sure but there is no such thing as "stopping a war" with russia. Peace in russia is just rearmament. Have armistice with them and they'll just be back in 5 to 10 years except stronger. The default state of russia is war (Afghanistan, Chechnya, Georgia, Ukraine). Kind of like USA but with a different mentality "if you lay down, it means i can walk on you with no consequences". But if you don't know panyatya and that putin is a kor v zakonie, you couldn't understand.
Donna Hawthorne · 2026-09-13 06:57
>>49964
Well, the best decision for Ukraine in 2014 was to try to become like Belarus instead of going with EU - to be kinda friendly with Russia but not really participating in its war efforts elsewhere. All those years of war and Belarus still didn't have to send their troops to fight us. Moreover, Belarus is very friendly to our refugees, etc. Right now though, it would probably be close to impossible to go that way after all those years of war, and the best outcome for Ukraine is probably "Georgian scenario" similar to current status of things in Georgia, with further re-orientation to east and establishment of trade routes with China to make stability in Ukraine an area of economic interest of China. I'd like to note, I'm not strong in geopolitics and here I'm basically just repeating in simple words ideas that seemed reasonable to me that I've seen discussed online elsewhere countless times.

I'm not gonna pretend to be an expert either but a nation that invades another for no good reason and sends missiles at civilians deserves nothing but a beatdown (not negociation!)

Dr. X · 2026-09-13 07:19

Sure, but that's not always achievable in practice. Reasonable geopolitics shouldn't operate on "le cosmic justice as I see it", it should optimize variables such as "risks of war", "deaths of people", "wellbeing of people", etc. You talking points are either naive or fanatic, because lives and wellbeing of people are more important than your sense of justice. Moreover, when you look closer at any politics ever, this naive picture of black-and-white crumbles.

I used to be a failed gamedev. I wasted 5 or more years trying to making it through gamedev. All games I made were bad or I dropped early due to the scope being to big for me.
2 months ago I got a job. The payment is bad, but any other job that I could get would be even worse in that regards. Everyday I think about quitting the job and start doing deliveries on bicycle, but I couldnt even save money to buy the bike since I was 6 years with no money so I had to spend most of the money on clothes and sneaker.
Next week I'll be able to buy a cheap brand new bicycle but I'm scared of this plan going bad since there is no plan B anymore.
There is nothing I miss more than making my games. Even tho they were bad and earned me no money at all. I don't dev since February, after a big failure and getting to depressed to do anything. Now I pretend I don't have time anymore since I have only 4 hours of "free time" a day, but even when I get home early I just do nothing of value, even on weekends that I dont work. I don't even do calisthenics anymore.
To be honest I don't do anything at all besides scrolling 4chan, youtube and masturbating. I don't game anymore, I don't drink, I don't use drugs, I don't go out with my friends, I don't read, I don't eat fancy stuff, I don't pay subscriptions, I dont even have home internet, I don't even fuarrrking remember my dreams anymore, I really do nothing.
I'm so sick of this life style but it's the best way to earn money that I have currently. I want to keep working for a bit and saving the money but there are days that I just want to quit.
My plan, since the end of the last month, is to work until the next payment and abandon the job to do deliveries and gamedev on my free time but I'm scared as hell from doing the wrong choice again.
The job, by itself isnt bad. Actually I'm fuarrrking loving. I work as a field service technician, replacing Dell laptop parts on customer's houses/companies. The problem is that you are supposed to be doing this job on a car and I "lied" about having one (actually my employer hired me knowing this), so I'm using public transportation. While my coworkers are going home at 2pm, some days I'm still working at 7pm and after that I still have 2 hours commute back home at any moment of the day, rush hours, normal hours, they are all the same. Sure those days are rare, and 70% I get home at around 6pm, sometimes even less, but riding the buses and metro with a bunch of boxes for hours is horribly for my sanity. And I'm all by myself, no food, no car to save me from rain. Only me, my equipment and a bunch of boxes.
I'm reaching 29yo and I still live with my foken mom, and there is no escape from this unless I save money for another year.
